וַיִּסַּ֤ע

So took his journey

､ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙

and with all

､ ל֔וֹ

lōw,

he had ､

וַיָּבֹ֖א

and came

בְּאֵ֣רָה

bə·’ê·rāh

to

､ שָּׁ֑בַע

šā·ḇa‘;

וַיִּזְבַּ֣ח

way·yiz·baḥ

זְבָחִ֔ים

zə·ḇā·ḥîm,

לֵאלֹהֵ֖י

lê·lō·hê

to the God

אָבִ֥יו

’ā·ḇîw

. יִצְחָֽק׃

yiṣ·ḥāq.

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר

way·yō·mer

אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀

’ĕ·lō·hîm

לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙

lə·yiś·rā·’êl

בְּמַרְאֹ֣ת

bə·mar·’ōṯ

in the visions

､ הַלַּ֔יְלָה

hal·lay·lāh,

of the night ､

､ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר

way·yō·mer

and said ､

､ יַעֲקֹ֣ב ׀

ya·‘ă·qōḇ

. יַעֲקֹ֑ב

ya·‘ă·qōḇ;

､ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר

And he said ､

. הִנֵּֽנִי׃

Here I am .

､ וַיֹּ֕אמֶר

So He said ､

אָנֹכִ֥י

I [am]

､ הָאֵ֖ל

God ､

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

’ĕ·lō·hê

the God

– אָבִ֑יךָ

’ā·ḇî·ḵā;

of your father –

אַל־

’al-

not

תִּירָא֙

tî·rā

מֵרְדָ֣ה

mê·rə·ḏāh

to go down

– מִצְרַ֔יְמָה

miṣ·ray·māh,

to Egypt –

כִּֽי־

kî-

לְג֥וֹי

lə·ḡō·w

גָּד֖וֹל

gā·ḏō·wl

אֲשִֽׂימְךָ֥

’ă·śî·mə·ḵā

I will make you

. שָֽׁם׃

אָנֹכִ֗י

I

אֵרֵ֤ד

’ê·rêḏ

will go down

עִמְּךָ֙

‘im·mə·ḵā

with you

– מִצְרַ֔יְמָה

miṣ·ray·māh,

to Egypt –

וְאָנֹכִ֖י

wə·’ā·nō·ḵî

and I

אַֽעַלְךָ֣

’a·‘al·ḵā

will bring you up

גַם־

ḡam-

– עָלֹ֑ה

‘ā·lōh;

וְיוֹסֵ֕ף

wə·yō·w·sêp̄

יָשִׁ֥ית

yā·šîṯ

will put

יָד֖וֹ

yā·ḏōw

עַל־

‘al-

on

. עֵינֶֽיךָ׃

‘ê·ne·ḵā.

וַיָּ֥קָם

way·yā·qām

יַעֲקֹ֖ב

ya·‘ă·qōḇ

מִבְּאֵ֣ר

mib·bə·’êr

､ שָׁ֑בַע

šā·ḇa‘;

וַיִּשְׂא֨וּ

way·yiś·’ū

בְנֵֽי־

in the carts

אֲשֶׁר־

שָׁלַ֥ח

פַּרְעֹ֖ה

לָשֵׂ֥את

. אֹתֽוֹ׃

וַיִּקְח֣וּ

way·yiq·ḥū

אֶת־

’eṯ-

､ מִקְנֵיהֶ֗ם

miq·nê·hem,

their livestock ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

､ רְכוּשָׁם֙

rə·ḵū·šām

their goods ､

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

’ă·šer

רָֽכְשׁוּ֙

rā·ḵə·šū

they had acquired

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

､ כְּנַ֔עַן

kə·na·‘an,

of Canaan ､

וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ

way·yā·ḇō·’ū

and went

､ מִצְרָ֑יְמָה

miṣ·rā·yə·māh;

to Egypt ､

､ יַעֲקֹ֖ב

ya·‘ă·qōḇ

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

זַרְע֥וֹ

zar·‘ōw

his descendants

. אִתּֽוֹ׃

’it·tōw.

with him .

､ בָּנָ֞יו

וּבְנֵ֤י

and the sons

בָנָיו֙

､ אִתּ֔וֹ

with him ､

his daughters ､

his chariot ､

וַיַּ֛עַל

and went up

לִקְרַֽאת־

､ אָבִ֖יו

､ גֹּ֑שְׁנָה

to Goshen ､

וַיֵּרָ֣א

and he presented himself

אֵלָ֗יו

to him

וַיִּפֹּל֙

and fell

עַל־

on

､ צַוָּארָ֔יו

ṣaw·wā·rāw,

וַיֵּ֥בְךְּ

way·yê·ḇək

and wept

עַל־

‘al-

on

צַוָּארָ֖יו

. עֽוֹד׃

וַיֹּ֧אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And said

יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל

אֶל־

אָמ֣וּתָה

’ā·mū·ṯāh

､ הַפָּ֑עַם

hap·pā·‘am;

now ､

אַחֲרֵי֙

רְאוֹתִ֣י

rə·’ō·w·ṯî

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ פָּנֶ֔יךָ

pā·ne·ḵā,

כִּ֥י

kî

עוֹדְךָ֖

. חָֽי׃

[you are] alive .

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר

And said

his brothers ､

and to

I will go up

וְאַגִּ֣ידָה

wə·’ag·gî·ḏāh

and tell

､ לְפַרְעֹ֑ה

lə·p̄ar·‘ōh;

וְאֹֽמְרָ֣ה

wə·’ō·mə·rāh

and say

､ אֵלָ֔יו

’ê·lāw,

to him ､

אַחַ֧י

’a·ḥay

וּבֵית־

ū·ḇêṯ-

､ אָבִ֛י

’ā·ḇî

of my father ､

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

בְּאֶֽרֶץ־

bə·’e·reṣ-

in the land

､ כְּנַ֖עַן

kə·na·‘an

of Canaan ､

בָּ֥אוּ

bā·’ū

. אֵלָֽי׃

to me .

וְהָאֲנָשִׁים֙

And the men

רֹ֣עֵי

､ צֹ֔אן

ṣōn,

their flocks ､

כִּֽי־

kî-

אַנְשֵׁ֥י

מִקְנֶ֖ה

miq·neh

הָי֑וּ

hā·yū;

､ וְצֹאנָ֧ם

wə·ṣō·nām

and their flocks ､

､ וּבְקָרָ֛ם

ū·ḇə·qā·rām

and their herds ､

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

that [is]

לָהֶ֖ם

lā·hem

. הֵבִֽיאוּ׃

they have brought .

､ וְהָיָ֕ה

So it shall be ､

לָכֶ֖ם

פַּרְעֹ֑ה

par·‘ōh;

､ וְאָמַ֖ר

wə·’ā·mar

and says ､

מַה־

mah-

what [is]

؟ מַּעֲשֵׂיכֶֽם׃

ma·‘ă·śê·ḵem.

your occupation ؟

､ וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֗ם

wa·’ă·mar·tem,

that you shall say ､

אַנְשֵׁ֨י

’an·šê

מִקְנֶ֜ה

miq·neh

הָי֤וּ

hā·yū

עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙

‘ă·ḇā·ḏe·ḵā

מִנְּעוּרֵ֣ינוּ

min·nə·‘ū·rê·nū

וְעַד־

wə·‘aḏ-

､ עַ֔תָּה

‘at·tāh,

now ､

גַּם־

gam-

､ אֲנַ֖חְנוּ

’ă·naḥ·nū

we ､

גַּם־

gam-

[and] also

– אֲבֹתֵ֑ינוּ

’ă·ḇō·ṯê·nū;

our fathers –

בַּעֲב֗וּר

ba·‘ă·ḇūr,

תֵּשְׁבוּ֙

tê·šə·ḇū

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

– גֹּ֔שֶׁן

gō·šen,

of Goshen –

כִּֽי־

kî-

תוֹעֲבַ֥ת

ṯō·w·‘ă·ḇaṯ

מִצְרַ֖יִם

miṣ·ra·yim

כָּל־

kāl-

רֹ֥עֵה

rō·‘êh

. צֹֽאן׃

ṣōn.
