､ יוֹתָ֛ם

yō·w·ṯām

､ אָחָ֥ז

’ā·ḥāz

Ahaz ､

יְחִזְקִיָּ֖ה

yə·ḥiz·qî·yāh

מַלְכֵ֣י

mal·ḵê

､ יְהוּדָ֑ה

yə·hū·ḏāh;

of Judah ､

וּבִימֵ֛י

ū·ḇî·mê

and in the days

יָרָבְעָ֥ם

yā·rā·ḇə·‘ām

בֶּן־

ben-

､ יוֹאָ֖שׁ

yō·w·’āš

of Joash ､

מֶ֥לֶךְ

me·leḵ

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

yiś·rā·’êl.

תְּחִלַּ֥ת

tə·ḥil·laṯ

דִּבֶּר־

dib·ber-

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

. בְּהוֹשֵׁ֑עַ

bə·hō·wō·šê·a‘;

And said

יְהוָ֜ה

Yah·weh

אֶל־

’el-

to

､ הוֹשֵׁ֗עַ

hō·wō·šê·a‘,

､ לֵ֣ךְ

go ､

קַח־

qaḥ-

לְךָ֞

lə·ḵā

אֵ֤שֶׁת

’ê·šeṯ

זְנוּנִים֙

zə·nū·nîm

וְיַלְדֵ֣י

wə·yal·ḏê

– זְנוּנִ֔ים

zə·nū·nîm,

of harlotry –

כִּֽי־

kî-

זָנֹ֤ה

zā·nōh

､ תִזְנֶה֙

ṯiz·neh

has committed harlotry ､

הָאָ֔רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ,

the land

מֵֽאַחֲרֵ֖י

mê·’a·ḥă·rê

[By departing] from

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וַיֵּ֙לֶךְ֙

way·yê·leḵ

So he went

וַיִּקַּ֔ח

way·yiq·qaḥ,

and took

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

גֹּ֖מֶר

gō·mer

בַּת־

baṯ-

– דִּבְלָ֑יִם

diḇ·lā·yim;

of Diblaim –

､ וַתַּ֥הַר

wat·ta·har

and she conceived ､

וַתֵּֽלֶד־

wat·tê·leḏ-

and bore

ל֖וֹ

lōw

. בֵּֽן׃

bên.

a son .

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And said

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

אֵלָ֔יו

’ê·lāw,

to him

קְרָ֥א

qə·rā

שְׁמ֖וֹ

šə·mōw

– יִזְרְעֶ֑אל

yiz·rə·‘el;

כִּי־

kî-

ע֣וֹד

‘ō·wḏ

מְעַ֗ט

mə·‘aṭ,

in a little [while]

וּפָ֨קַדְתִּ֜י

ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî

and I will avenge

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

דְּמֵ֤י

də·mê

יִזְרְעֶאל֙

yiz·rə·‘el

עַל־

‘al-

on

בֵּ֣ית

bêṯ

､ יֵה֔וּא

yê·hū,

of Jehu ､

וְהִ֨שְׁבַּתִּ֔י

wə·hiš·bat·tî,

and bring to an end

מַמְלְכ֖וּת

mam·lə·ḵūṯ

בֵּ֥ית

bêṯ

of the house

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

yiś·rā·’êl.

וְהָיָ֖ה

wə·hā·yāh

And it shall come to pass

､ בַּיּ֣וֹם

bay·yō·wm

in day ､

הַה֑וּא

ha·hū;

וְשָֽׁבַרְתִּי֙

wə·šā·ḇar·tî

I will break

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

קֶ֣שֶׁת

qe·šeṯ

the bow

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

yiś·rā·’êl,

בְּעֵ֖מֶק

bə·‘ê·meq

in the Valley

. יִזְרְעֶֽאל׃

yiz·rə·‘el.

וַתַּ֤הַר

wat·ta·har

And she conceived

､ עוֹד֙

‘ō·wḏ

וַתֵּ֣לֶד

wat·tê·leḏ

and bore

. בַּ֔ת

baṯ,

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And [God] said

ל֔וֹ

lōw,

to him

קְרָ֥א

qə·rā

שְׁמָ֖הּ

šə·māh

לֹ֣א

lō

to

､ רֻחָ֑מָה

ru·ḥā·māh;

כִּי֩

kî

לֹ֨א

lō

no

אוֹסִ֜יף

’ō·w·sîp̄

ע֗וֹד

‘ō·wḏ,

אֲרַחֵם֙

’ă·ra·ḥêm

I will have mercy

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

בֵּ֣ית

bêṯ

on the house

– יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

yiś·rā·’êl,

of Israel –

כִּֽי־

kî-

but

נָשֹׂ֥א

nā·śō

אֶשָּׂ֖א

’eś·śā

I will take away

. לָהֶֽם׃

lā·hem.

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

And yet

בֵּ֤ית

bêṯ

on the house

､ יְהוּדָה֙

yə·hū·ḏāh

of Judah ､

אֲרַחֵ֔ם

’ă·ra·ḥêm,

I will have mercy

וְהֽוֹשַׁעְתִּ֖ים

wə·hō·wō·ša‘·tîm

and will save them

בַּיהוָ֣ה

Yah·weh

､ אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ם

’ĕ·lō·hê·hem;

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

and not

אֽוֹשִׁיעֵ֗ם

’ō·wō·šî·‘êm,

､ בְּקֶ֤שֶׁת

bə·qe·šeṯ

by bow ､

､ וּבְחֶ֙רֶב֙

ū·ḇə·ḥe·reḇ

nor by sword ､

､ וּבְמִלְחָמָ֔ה

ū·ḇə·mil·ḥā·māh,

or battle ､

､ בְּסוּסִ֖ים

bə·sū·sîm

by horses ､

. וּבְפָרָשִֽׁים׃

ū·ḇə·p̄ā·rā·šîm.

וַתִּגְמֹ֖ל

wat·tiḡ·mōl

And when she had weaned

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

לֹ֣א

lō

to

､ רֻחָ֑מָה

ru·ḥā·māh;

､ וַתַּ֖הַר

wat·ta·har

and she conceived ､

וַתֵּ֥לֶד

wat·tê·leḏ

and bore

. בֵּֽן׃

bên.

a son .

וַיֹּ֕אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And [God] said

קְרָ֥א

qə·rā

שְׁמ֖וֹ

šə·mōw

לֹ֣א

､ עַמִּ֑י

‘am·mî;

for ､

כִּ֤י

kî

אַתֶּם֙

’at·tem

not

לֹ֣א

lō

､ עַמִּ֔י

‘am·mî,

and I ､

וְאָנֹכִ֖י

wə·’ā·nō·ḵî

and not

לֹֽא־

lō-

will be

אֶהְיֶ֥ה

’eh·yeh

. לָכֶֽם׃

lā·ḵem.

And yet shall be

מִסְפַּ֤ר

mis·par

בְּנֵֽי־

bə·nê-

of the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵל֙

yiś·rā·’êl

כְּח֣וֹל

kə·ḥō·wl

as the sand

､ הַיָּ֔ם

hay·yām,

of the sea ､

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

לֹֽא־

lō-

יִמַּ֖ד

yim·maḏ

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

or

– יִסָּפֵ֑ר

yis·sā·p̄êr;

､ וְֽ֠הָיָה

wə·hā·yāh

and it shall come to pass ､

בִּמְק֞וֹם

bim·qō·wm

in the place

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

יֵאָמֵ֤ר

yê·’ā·mêr

לָהֶם֙

lā·hem

לֹֽא־

lō-

[are] not

､ עַמִּ֣י

‘am·mî

My people ､

אַתֶּ֔ם

’at·tem,

יֵאָמֵ֥ר

yê·’ā·mêr

[There] it shall be said

לָהֶ֖ם

lā·hem

בְּנֵ֥י

bə·nê

אֵֽל־

’êl-

of the God

. חָֽי׃

ḥāy.

､ וְ֠נִקְבְּצוּ

wə·niq·bə·ṣū

And shall be gathered ､

בְּנֵֽי־

bə·nê-

the sons

יְהוּדָ֤ה

yə·hū·ḏāh

וּבְנֵֽי־

ū·ḇə·nê-

and the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵל֙

yiś·rā·’êl

､ יַחְדָּ֔ו

yaḥ·dāw,

וְשָׂמ֥וּ

wə·śā·mū

לָהֶ֛ם

lā·hem

､ רֹ֥אשׁ

rōš

head ､

אֶחָ֖ד

’e·ḥāḏ

וְעָל֣וּ

wə·‘ā·lū

and they shall come up

מִן־

min-

､ הָאָ֑רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ;

of the land ､

כִּ֥י

kî

גָד֖וֹל

ḡā·ḏō·wl

great [will be]

י֥וֹם

yō·wm

the day

. יִזְרְעֶֽאל׃

yiz·rə·‘el.
