､ רָנִּ֥י

Sing ､

､ עֲקָרָ֖ה

‘ă·qā·rāh

לֹ֣א

lō

not

– יָלָ֑דָה

yā·lā·ḏāh;

You [who] have borne –

פִּצְחִ֨י

piṣ·ḥî

､ רִנָּ֤ה

rin·nāh

into singing ､

､ וְצַהֲלִי֙

wə·ṣa·hă·lî

and cry aloud ､

לֹא־

lō-

not

– חָ֔לָה

ḥā·lāh,

You [who] have labored with child –

כִּֽי־

kî-

רַבִּ֧ים

rab·bîm

בְּֽנֵי־

bə·nê-

[are] the sons

שׁוֹמֵמָ֛ה

šō·w·mê·māh

of the desolate

מִבְּנֵ֥י

mib·bə·nê

､ בְעוּלָ֖ה

ḇə·‘ū·lāh

of the married woman ､

אָמַ֥ר

’ā·mar

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

הַרְחִ֣יבִי ׀

har·ḥî·ḇî

מְק֣וֹם

mə·qō·wm

､ אָהֳלֵ֗ךְ

’ā·ho·lêḵ,

of your tent ､

וִירִיע֧וֹת

wî·rî·‘ō·wṯ

and the curtains

､ מִשְׁכְּנוֹתַ֛יִךְ

miš·kə·nō·w·ṯa·yiḵ

of your dwellings ､

יַטּ֖וּ

yaṭ·ṭū

let them stretch out

､ אַל־

’al-

not ､

תַּחְשֹׂ֑כִי

taḥ·śō·ḵî;

הַאֲרִ֙יכִי֙

ha·’ă·rî·ḵî

､ מֵֽיתָרַ֔יִךְ

mê·ṯā·ra·yiḵ,

– וִיתֵדֹתַ֖יִךְ

wî·ṯê·ḏō·ṯa·yiḵ

and your stakes –

. חַזֵּֽקִי׃

ḥaz·zê·qî.

כִּי־

kî-

יָמִ֥ין

yā·mîn

to the right

– וּשְׂמֹ֖אול

ū·śə·mō·wl

and to the left –

תִּפְרֹ֑צִי

tip̄·rō·ṣî;

you shall expand

וְזַרְעֵךְ֙

wə·zar·‘êḵ

and your descendants

､ גּוֹיִ֣ם

gō·w·yim

the nations ､

יִירָ֔שׁ

yî·rāš,

וְעָרִ֥ים

wə·‘ā·rîm

and the cities

נְשַׁמּ֖וֹת

nə·šam·mō·wṯ

. יוֹשִֽׁיבוּ׃

yō·wō·šî·ḇū.

make inhabited .

– אַל־

’al-

Not –

תִּֽירְאִי֙

tî·rə·’î

כִּי־

kî-

לֹ֣א

lō

not

– תֵב֔וֹשִׁי

ṯê·ḇō·wō·šî,

you will be ashamed –

וְאַל־

wə·’al-

– תִּכָּלְמִ֖י

tik·kā·lə·mî

be disgraced –

כִּ֣י

kî

לֹ֣א

lō

not

– תַחְפִּ֑ירִי

ṯaḥ·pî·rî;

you will be put to shame –

כִּ֣י

kî

בֹ֤שֶׁת

ḇō·šeṯ

､ עֲלוּמַ֙יִךְ֙

‘ă·lū·ma·yiḵ

of your youth ､

תִּשְׁכָּ֔חִי

tiš·kā·ḥî,

you will forget

וְחֶרְפַּ֥ת

wə·ḥer·paṯ

and the reproach

אַלְמְנוּתַ֖יִךְ

’al·mə·nū·ṯa·yiḵ

of your widowhood

לֹ֥א

not

תִזְכְּרִי־

ṯiz·kə·rî-

. עֽוֹד׃

‘ō·wḏ.

כִּ֤י

kî

– בֹעֲלַ֙יִךְ֙

ḇō·‘ă·la·yiḵ

your husband –

עֹשַׂ֔יִךְ

‘ō·śa·yiḵ,

your Maker [is]

יְהוָ֥ה

Yah·weh

צְבָא֖וֹת

ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ

– שְׁמ֑וֹ

šə·mōw;

[is] His name –

וְגֹֽאֲלֵךְ֙

wə·ḡō·’ă·lêḵ

and your Redeemer [is]

קְד֣וֹשׁ

qə·ḏō·wōš

– יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

yiś·rā·’êl,

of Israel –

אֱלֹהֵ֥י

’ĕ·lō·hê

the God

כָל־

ḵāl

of all

הָאָ֖רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ

. יִקָּרֵֽא׃

yiq·qā·rê.

He is called .

כִּֽי־

kî-

כְאִשָּׁ֧ה

ḵə·’iš·šāh

עֲזוּבָ֛ה

‘ă·zū·ḇāh

וַעֲצ֥וּבַת

wa·‘ă·ṣū·ḇaṯ

and grieved in

､ ר֖וּחַ

rū·aḥ

קְרָאָ֣ךְ

qə·rā·’āḵ

יְהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

וְאֵ֧שֶׁת

wə·’ê·šeṯ

and Like a wife

､ נְעוּרִ֛ים

nə·‘ū·rîm

כִּ֥י

kî

､ תִמָּאֵ֖ס

ṯim·mā·’ês

you were refused ､

אָמַ֥ר

’ā·mar

. אֱלֹהָֽיִךְ׃

’ĕ·lō·hā·yiḵ.

בְּרֶ֥גַע

bə·re·ḡa‘

קָטֹ֖ן

qā·ṭōn

עֲזַבְתִּ֑יךְ

‘ă·zaḇ·tîḵ;

I have forsaken you

וּבְרַחֲמִ֥ים

ū·ḇə·ra·ḥă·mîm

but with mercies

גְּדֹלִ֖ים

gə·ḏō·lîm

. אֲקַבְּצֵֽךְ׃

’ă·qab·bə·ṣêḵ.

I will gather you .

בְּשֶׁ֣צֶף

bə·še·ṣep̄

קֶ֗צֶף

qe·ṣep̄,

הִסְתַּ֨רְתִּי

his·tar·tî

פָנַ֥י

p̄ā·nay

– רֶ֙גַע֙

re·ḡa‘

for a moment –

מִמֵּ֔ךְ

mim·mêḵ,

וּבְחֶ֥סֶד

ū·ḇə·ḥe·seḏ

but with kindness

עוֹלָ֖ם

‘ō·w·lām

רִֽחַמְתִּ֑יךְ

ri·ḥam·tîḵ;

I will have mercy on you

אָמַ֥ר

’ā·mar

גֹּאֲלֵ֖ךְ

gō·’ă·lêḵ

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

mê

like the waters

נֹ֙חַ֙

nō·aḥ

זֹ֣את

zōṯ

this [is]

לִ֔י

lî,

to Me

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

for as

נִשְׁבַּ֗עְתִּי

niš·ba‘·tî,

מֵעֲבֹ֥ר

mê·‘ă·ḇōr

that no longer would cover

מֵי־

mê-

נֹ֛חַ

nō·aḥ

ע֖וֹד

‘ō·wḏ

עַל־

‘al-

– הָאָ֑רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ;

the earth –

כֵּ֥ן

kên

so

נִשְׁבַּ֛עְתִּי

niš·ba‘·tî

מִקְּצֹ֥ף

miq·qə·ṣōp̄

that I would not be angry

עָלַ֖יִךְ

‘ā·la·yiḵ

with you

וּמִגְּעָר־

ū·mig·gə·‘ār-

. בָּֽךְ׃

bāḵ.

כִּ֤י

kî

הֶֽהָרִים֙

he·hā·rîm

､ יָמ֔וּשׁוּ

yā·mū·šū,

shall depart ､

וְהַגְּבָע֖וֹת

wə·hag·gə·ḇā·‘ō·wṯ

and the hills

– תְּמוּטֶ֑נָה

tə·mū·ṭe·nāh;

be removed –

וְחַסְדִּ֞י

wə·ḥas·dî

but My kindness

מֵאִתֵּ֣ךְ

mê·’it·têḵ

לֹֽא־

lō-

not

יָמ֗וּשׁ

yā·mūš,

וּבְרִ֤ית

ū·ḇə·rîṯ

and the covenant

שְׁלוֹמִי֙

šə·lō·w·mî

of My peace

לֹ֣א

lō

､ תָמ֔וּט

ṯā·mūṭ,

shall be removed ､

אָמַ֥ר

’ā·mar

מְרַחֲמֵ֖ךְ

mə·ra·ḥă·mêḵ

who has mercy on you

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

､ עֲנִיָּ֥ה

‘ă·nî·yāh

You afflicted one ､

､ סֹעֲרָ֖ה

sō·‘ă·rāh

Tossed with tempest ､

לֹ֣א

lō

not

､ נֻחָ֑מָה

nu·ḥā·māh;

[and] comforted ､

､ הִנֵּ֨ה

hin·nêh

אָנֹכִ֜י

’ā·nō·ḵî

I

מַרְבִּ֤יץ

mar·bîṣ

will lay

､ בַּפּוּךְ֙

bap·pūḵ

with colorful gems ､

אֲבָנַ֔יִךְ

’ă·ḇā·na·yiḵ,

וִיסַדְתִּ֖יךְ

wî·saḏ·tîḵ

and lay your foundations

. בַּסַּפִּירִֽים׃

bas·sap·pî·rîm.

with sapphires .

וְשַׂמְתִּ֤י

wə·śam·tî

And I will make

､ כַּֽדְכֹד֙

kaḏ·ḵōḏ

שִׁמְשֹׁתַ֔יִךְ

šim·šō·ṯa·yiḵ,

וּשְׁעָרַ֖יִךְ

ū·šə·‘ā·ra·yiḵ

לְאַבְנֵ֣י

lə·’aḇ·nê

of

､ אֶקְדָּ֑ח

’eq·dāḥ;

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

גְּבוּלֵ֖ךְ

gə·ḇū·lêḵ

לְאַבְנֵי־

lə·’aḇ·nê-

. חֵֽפֶץ׃

ḥê·p̄eṣ.

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

And all

בָּנַ֖יִךְ

bā·na·yiḵ

לִמּוּדֵ֣י

lim·mū·ḏê

[shall be] taught by

– יְהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

וְרַ֖ב

wə·raḇ

שְׁל֥וֹם

šə·lō·wm

[shall be] the peace

. בָּנָֽיִךְ׃

bā·nā·yiḵ.

of your children .

בִּצְדָקָ֖ה

biṣ·ḏā·qāh

In righteousness

– תִּכּוֹנָ֑נִי

tik·kō·w·nā·nî;

you shall be established –

רַחֲקִ֤י

ra·ḥă·qî

You shall be far

– מֵעֹ֙שֶׁק֙

mê·‘ō·šeq

from oppression –

כִּֽי־

kî-

לֹ֣א

lō

not

– תִירָ֔אִי

ṯî·rā·’î,

you shall fear –

– וּמִ֨מְּחִתָּ֔ה

ū·mim·mə·ḥit·tāh,

and from terror –

כִּ֥י

kî

לֹֽא־

lō-

not

תִקְרַ֖ב

ṯiq·raḇ

it shall come near

. אֵלָֽיִךְ׃

’ê·lā·yiḵ.

､ הֵ֣ן

hên

גּ֥וֹר

gō·wr

､ יָג֛וּר

yā·ḡūr

they shall assemble ､

אֶ֖פֶס

’e·p̄es

[but] not

מֵֽאוֹתִ֑י

mê·’ō·w·ṯî;

מִי־

mî-

גָ֥ר

ḡār

אִתָּ֖ךְ

’it·tāḵ

עָלַ֥יִךְ

‘ā·la·yiḵ

. יִפּֽוֹל׃

yip·pō·wl.

he shall fall .

[הן]

hên

-

(הִנֵּ֤ה)

hin·nêh

אָֽנֹכִי֙

’ā·nō·ḵî

I

בָּרָ֣אתִי

bā·rā·ṯî

חָרָ֔שׁ

ḥā·rāš,

נֹפֵ֙חַ֙

nō·p̄ê·aḥ

､ בְּאֵ֣שׁ

bə·’êš

in the fire ､

פֶּחָ֔ם

pe·ḥām,

וּמוֹצִ֥יא

ū·mō·w·ṣî

and who brings forth

כְלִ֖י

ḵə·lî

– לְמַעֲשֵׂ֑הוּ

lə·ma·‘ă·śê·hū;

for his work –

וְאָנֹכִ֛י

wə·’ā·nō·ḵî

and I

בָּרָ֥אתִי

bā·rā·ṯî

מַשְׁחִ֖ית

maš·ḥîṯ

. לְחַבֵּֽל׃

lə·ḥab·bêl.

כָּל־

kāl-

כְּלִ֞י

kə·lî

יוּצַ֤ר

yū·ṣar

עָלַ֙יִךְ֙

‘ā·la·yiḵ

לֹ֣א

lō

– יִצְלָ֔ח

yiṣ·lāḥ,

shall prosper –

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

לָשׁ֛וֹן

lā·šō·wn

תָּֽקוּם־

tā·qūm-

אִתָּ֥ךְ

’it·tāḵ

לַמִּשְׁפָּ֖ט

lam·miš·pāṭ

. תַּרְשִׁ֑יעִי

tar·šî·‘î;

You shall condemn .

זֹ֡את

zōṯ

This [is]

נַחֲלַת֩

na·ḥă·laṯ

עַבְדֵ֨י

‘aḇ·ḏê

of the servants

､ יְהוָ֧ה

Yah·weh

of Yahweh ､

וְצִדְקָתָ֛ם

wə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯām

and their righteousness [is]

מֵאִתִּ֖י

mê·’it·tî

נְאֻם־

nə·’um-

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.
