וּבָנ֔וֹת

בַּמָּק֖וֹם

. הַזֶּֽה׃

יְהוָ֗ה

עַל־

‘al-

הַבָּנִים֙

hab·bā·nîm

the sons

וְעַל־

wə·‘al-

and

הַבָּנ֔וֹת

hab·bā·nō·wṯ,

הַיִּלּוֹדִ֖ים

hay·yil·lō·w·ḏîm

､ בַּמָּק֣וֹם

bam·mā·qō·wm

in place ､

הַזֶּ֑ה

haz·zeh;

וְעַֽל־

wə·‘al-

אִמֹּתָ֞ם

’im·mō·ṯām

הַיֹּלְד֣וֹת

hay·yō·lə·ḏō·wṯ

אוֹתָ֗ם

’ō·w·ṯām,

וְעַל־

wə·‘al-

and

אֲבוֹתָ֛ם

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯām

הַמּוֹלִדִ֥ים

ham·mō·w·li·ḏîm

אוֹתָ֖ם

’ō·w·ṯām

– בָּאָ֥רֶץ

bā·’ā·reṣ

in land –

. הַזֹּֽאת׃

haz·zōṯ.

– מְמוֹתֵ֨י

mə·mō·w·ṯê

תַחֲלֻאִ֜ים

ṯa·ḥă·lu·’îm

יָמֻ֗תוּ

yā·mu·ṯū,

לֹ֤א

lō

not

– יִסָּֽפְדוּ֙

yis·sā·p̄ə·ḏū

they shall be lamented –

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

– יִקָּבֵ֔רוּ

yiq·qā·ḇê·rū,

shall they be buried –

לְדֹ֛מֶן

lə·ḏō·men

עַל־

‘al-

on

פְּנֵ֥י

pə·nê

the face

– הָאֲדָמָ֖ה

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh

of the earth –

יִֽהְי֑וּ

yih·yū;

[but] they shall be

､ וּבַחֶ֤רֶב

ū·ḇa·ḥe·reḇ

and by the sword ､

– וּבָֽרָעָב֙

ū·ḇā·rā·‘āḇ

and by famine –

יִכְל֔וּ

yiḵ·lū,

they shall be consumed

וְהָיְתָ֤ה

wə·hā·yə·ṯāh

and shall be

נִבְלָתָם֙

niḇ·lā·ṯām

לְמַאֲכָ֔ל

lə·ma·’ă·ḵāl,

לְע֥וֹף

lə·‘ō·wp̄

､ הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם

haš·šā·ma·yim

of heaven ､

וּלְבֶהֱמַ֥ת

ū·lə·ḇe·hĕ·maṯ

. הָאָֽרֶץ׃

hā·’ā·reṣ.

of the earth .

of mourning ､

וְאַל־

wə·’al-

תֵּלֵ֣ךְ

לִסְפּ֔וֹד

וְאַל־

wə·’al-

or

תָּנֹ֖ד

tā·nōḏ

לָהֶ֑ם

lā·hem;

כִּֽי־

אָסַ֨פְתִּי

’ā·sap̄·tî

I have taken away

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

שְׁלוֹמִ֜י

šə·lō·w·mî

מֵאֵ֨ת

mê·’êṯ

､ הָעָ֤ם־

hā·‘ām-

הַזֶּה֙

haz·zeh

נְאֻם־

nə·’um-

､ יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הַחֶ֖סֶד

ha·ḥe·seḏ

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

. הָֽרַחֲמִֽים׃

hā·ra·ḥă·mîm.

וּמֵ֨תוּ

ū·mê·ṯū

And both shall die

גְדֹלִ֧ים

ḡə·ḏō·lîm

וּקְטַנִּ֛ים

ū·qə·ṭan·nîm

and the small

– בָּאָ֥רֶץ

bā·’ā·reṣ

in land –

הַזֹּ֖את

haz·zōṯ

לֹ֣א

lō

not

､ יִקָּבֵ֑רוּ

yiq·qā·ḇê·rū;

they shall be buried ､

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō-

יִסְפְּד֣וּ

yis·pə·ḏū

shall men lament

לָהֶ֔ם

lā·hem,

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

and

､ יִתְגֹּדַ֔ד

yiṯ·gō·ḏaḏ,

cut themselves ､

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

יִקָּרֵ֖חַ

yiq·qā·rê·aḥ

make themselves bald

. לָהֶֽם׃

lā·hem.

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō-

יִפְרְס֥וּ

yip̄·rə·sū

shall [men] break [bread]

לָהֶ֛ם

lā·hem

עַל־

‘al-

in

､ אֵ֖בֶל

’ê·ḇel

לְנַחֲמ֣וֹ

lə·na·ḥă·mōw

to comfort them

עַל־

‘al-

– מֵ֑ת

mêṯ;

the dead –

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō-

יַשְׁק֤וּ

yaš·qū

אוֹתָם֙

’ō·w·ṯām

shall [men] give them

כּ֣וֹס

kō·ws

the cup

תַּנְחוּמִ֔ים

tan·ḥū·mîm,

עַל־

‘al-

אָבִ֖יו

’ā·ḇîw

וְעַל־

wə·‘al-

or

. אִמּֽוֹ׃

’im·mōw.

וּבֵית־

ū·ḇêṯ-

And the house

､ מִשְׁתֶּ֥ה

miš·teh

of feasting ､

לֹא־

lō-

not

תָב֖וֹא

ṯā·ḇō·w

you shall go into

לָשֶׁ֣בֶת

lā·še·ḇeṯ

to sit

אוֹתָ֑ם

’ō·w·ṯām;

with them

לֶאֱכֹ֖ל

le·’ĕ·ḵōl

to eat

. וְלִשְׁתּֽוֹת׃

wə·liš·tō·wṯ.

and drink .

of Israel –

הִנְנִ֨י

hin·nî

מַשְׁבִּ֜ית

maš·bîṯ

I will cause to cease

מִן־

min-

הַמָּק֥וֹם

ham·mā·qō·wm

הַזֶּ֛ה

haz·zeh

､ לְעֵינֵיכֶ֖ם

lə·‘ê·nê·ḵem

before your eyes ､

､ וּבִֽימֵיכֶ֑ם

ū·ḇî·mê·ḵem;

and in your days ､

ק֤וֹל

qō·wl

､ שָׂשׂוֹן֙

śā·śō·wn

of mirth ､

וְק֣וֹל

wə·qō·wl

and the voice

､ שִׂמְחָ֔ה

śim·ḥāh,

of gladness ､

ק֥וֹל

qō·wl

､ חָתָ֖ן

ḥā·ṯān

of the bridegroom ､

וְק֥וֹל

wə·qō·wl

and the voice

. כַּלָּֽה׃

kal·lāh.

of the bride .

､ וְהָיָ֗ה

wə·hā·yāh,

And it shall be ､

כִּ֤י

תַגִּיד֙

ṯag·gîḏ

לָעָ֣ם

lā·‘ām

הַזֶּ֔ה

haz·zeh,

אֵ֥ת

’êṯ

-

כָּל־

kāl-

､ הַדְּבָרִ֖ים

had·də·ḇā·rîm

הָאֵ֑לֶּה

hā·’êl·leh;

וְאָמְר֣וּ

wə·’ā·mə·rū

אֵלֶ֗יךָ

’ê·le·ḵā,

to you

עַל־

‘al-

מֶה֩

meh

דִבֶּ֨ר

הָרָעָ֤ה

הַגְּדוֹלָה֙

הַזֹּ֔את

וּמֶ֤ה

Or what [is]

؟ עֲוֺנֵ֙נוּ֙

‘ă·wō·nê·nū

our iniquity ؟

וּמֶ֣ה

ū·meh

Or what [is]

חַטָּאתֵ֔נוּ

ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯê·nū,

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

חָטָ֖אנוּ

ḥā·ṭā·nū

we have committed

לַֽיהוָ֥ה

Yah·weh

؟ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū.

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

wə·’ā·mar·tā

then you shall say

אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם

’ă·lê·hem,

עַל֩

‘al

-

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

עָזְב֨וּ

‘ā·zə·ḇū

אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֤ם

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem

אוֹתִי֙

’ō·w·ṯî

Me

נְאֻם־

nə·’um-

､ יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

וַיֵּלְכ֗וּ

way·yê·lə·ḵū,

and they have walked

אַֽחֲרֵי֙

’a·ḥă·rê

､ אֱלֹהִ֣ים

’ĕ·lō·hîm

gods ､

אֲחֵרִ֔ים

’ă·ḥê·rîm,

וַיַּעַבְד֖וּם

way·ya·‘aḇ·ḏūm

and have served them

וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲו֣וּ

way·yiš·ta·ḥă·wū

לָהֶ֑ם

lā·hem;

וְאֹתִ֣י

wə·’ō·ṯî

and Me

עָזָ֔בוּ

‘ā·zā·ḇū,

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

– תּוֹרָתִ֖י

tō·w·rā·ṯî

My law –

לֹ֥א

lō

not

. שָׁמָֽרוּ׃

šā·mā·rū.

וְאַתֶּ֛ם

wə·’at·tem

And you

הֲרֵעֹתֶ֥ם

hă·rê·‘ō·ṯem

לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת

la·‘ă·śō·wṯ

– מֵאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם

mê·’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem;

than your fathers –

וְהִנְּכֶ֣ם

wə·hin·nə·ḵem

הֹלְכִ֗ים

hō·lə·ḵîm,

אִ֚ישׁ

’îš

אַֽחֲרֵי֙

’a·ḥă·rê

שְׁרִר֣וּת

šə·ri·rūṯ

､ לִבּֽוֹ־

lib·bōw-

of his own heart ､

הָרָ֔ע

hā·rā‘,

לְבִלְתִּ֖י

lə·ḇil·tî

so that no one

שְׁמֹ֥עַ

šə·mō·a‘

. אֵלָֽי׃

’ê·lāy.

to Me .

וְהֵטַלְתִּ֣י

wə·hê·ṭal·tî

Therefore I will cast

אֶתְכֶ֗ם

’eṯ·ḵem,

מֵעַל֙

mê·‘al

הָאָ֣רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ

הַזֹּ֔את

haz·zōṯ,

עַל־

‘al-

הָאָ֕רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ

אֲשֶׁר֙

’ă·šer

､ לֹ֣א

lō

not ､

יְדַעְתֶּ֔ם

yə·ḏa‘·tem,

אַתֶּ֖ם

’at·tem

– וַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם

wa·’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem;

nor your fathers –

וַעֲבַדְתֶּם־

wa·‘ă·ḇaḏ·tem-

and you shall serve

שָׁ֞ם

šām

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

אֱלֹהִ֤ים

’ĕ·lō·hîm

אֲחֵרִים֙

’ă·ḥê·rîm

יוֹמָ֣ם

yō·w·mām

– וָלַ֔יְלָה

wā·lay·lāh,

and night –

אֲשֶׁ֛ר

’ă·šer

לֹֽא־

lō-

not

אֶתֵּ֥ן

’et·tên

I will show

לָכֶ֖ם

lā·ḵem

. חֲנִינָֽה׃

ḥă·nî·nāh.

the days

､ בָּאִ֖ים

､ יְהוָ֑ה

וְלֹֽא־

､ יֵאָמֵ֥ר

it shall be said ､

עוֹד֙

‘ō·wḏ

､ חַי־

ḥay-

יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

אֲשֶׁ֧ר

’ă·šer

הֶעֱלָ֛ה

he·‘ĕ·lāh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

בְּנֵ֥י

bə·nê

the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

yiś·rā·’êl

מֵאֶ֥רֶץ

mê·’e·reṣ

– מִצְרָֽיִם׃

miṣ·rā·yim.

of Egypt –

כִּ֣י

אִם־

but

､ חַי־

ḥay-

יְהוָ֗ה

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

הֶעֱלָ֜ה

he·‘ĕ·lāh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

בְּנֵ֤י

the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵל֙

yiś·rā·’êl

מֵאֶ֣רֶץ

mê·’e·reṣ

､ צָפ֔וֹן

ṣā·p̄ō·wn,

of the north ､

וּמִכֹּל֙

ū·mik·kōl

הָֽאֲרָצ֔וֹת

hā·’ă·rā·ṣō·wṯ,

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

הִדִּיחָ֖ם

hid·dî·ḥām

He had driven them

שָׁ֑מָּה

šām·māh;

וַהֲשִֽׁבֹתִים֙

wa·hă·ši·ḇō·ṯîm

for I will bring them back

עַל־

‘al-

אַדְמָתָ֔ם

’aḏ·mā·ṯām,

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

נָתַ֖תִּי

nā·ṯat·tî

. לַאֲבוֹתָֽם׃

la·’ă·ḇō·w·ṯām.

to their fathers .

הִנְנִ֨י

hin·nî

שֹׁלֵ֜חַ

will send

[לדוגים]

lə·ḏaw·wā·ḡîm

､ (לְדַיָּגִ֥ים)

lə·ḏay·yā·ḡîm

for fishermen ､

רַבִּ֛ים

rab·bîm

נְאֻם־

nə·’um-

､ יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

וְדִיג֑וּם

wə·ḏî·ḡūm;

and they shall fish them

וְאַֽחֲרֵי־

wə·’a·ḥă·rê-

and

כֵ֗ן

ḵên,

אֶשְׁלַח֙

’eš·laḥ

I will send

לְרַבִּ֣ים

lə·rab·bîm

､ צַיָּדִ֔ים

ṣay·yā·ḏîm,

וְצָד֞וּם

wə·ṣā·ḏūm

and they shall hunt them

מֵעַ֤ל

mê·‘al

כָּל־

kāl-

､ הַר֙

har

וּמֵעַ֣ל

ū·mê·‘al

and

כָּל־

kāl-

､ גִּבְעָ֔ה

giḇ·‘āh,

hill ､

וּמִנְּקִיקֵ֖י

ū·min·nə·qî·qê

and out of the holes

. הַסְּלָעִֽים׃

has·sə·lā·‘îm.

of the rocks .

כִּ֤י

kî

עֵינַי֙

‘ê·nay

עַל־

‘al-

on

כָּל־

kāl-

– דַּרְכֵיהֶ֔ם

dar·ḵê·hem,

לֹ֥א

lō

not

נִסְתְּר֖וּ

nis·tə·rū

they are hidden

､ מִלְּפָנָ֑י

mil·lə·p̄ā·nāy;

from My face ､

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō-

נִצְפַּ֥ן

niṣ·pan

עֲוֺנָ֖ם

‘ă·wō·nām

מִנֶּ֥גֶד

min·ne·ḡeḏ

. עֵינָֽי׃

‘ê·nāy.

My eyes .

וְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֣י

wə·šil·lam·tî

And I will repay

רִֽאשׁוֹנָ֗ה

ri·šō·w·nāh,

– מִשְׁנֵ֤ה

miš·nêh

עֲוֺנָם֙

‘ă·wō·nām

וְחַטָּאתָ֔ם

wə·ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯām,

עַ֖ל

‘al

חַלְּלָ֣ם

ḥal·lə·lām

they have defiled

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ אַרְצִ֑י

’ar·ṣî;

My land ､

בְּנִבְלַ֤ת

bə·niḇ·laṯ

with the carcasses

שִׁקּֽוּצֵיהֶם֙

šiq·qū·ṣê·hem

of their detestable

. וְתוֹעֲב֣וֹתֵיהֶ֔ם

wə·ṯō·w·‘ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·hem,

and abominable idols .

מָלְא֖וּ

mā·lə·’ū

They have filled

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

. נַחֲלָתִֽי׃

na·ḥă·lā·ṯî.

My inheritance .

Yah·weh

､ עֻזִּ֧י

‘uz·zî

my strength ､

､ וּמָעֻזִּ֛י

ū·mā·‘uz·zî

and my fortress ､

וּמְנוּסִ֖י

ū·mə·nū·sî

and My refuge

בְּי֣וֹם

bə·yō·wm

in the day

､ צָרָ֑ה

ṣā·rāh;

of affliction ､

אֵלֶ֗יךָ

’ê·le·ḵā,

to You

גּוֹיִ֤ם

gō·w·yim

יָבֹ֙אוּ֙

yā·ḇō·’ū

מֵֽאַפְסֵי־

mê·’ap̄·sê-

､ אָ֔רֶץ

’ā·reṣ,

of the earth ､

､ וְיֹאמְר֗וּ

wə·yō·mə·rū,

and say ､

אַךְ־

’aḵ-

､ שֶׁ֙קֶר֙

še·qer

lies ､

נָחֲל֣וּ

nā·ḥă·lū

אֲבוֹתֵ֔ינוּ

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·nū,

､ הֶ֖בֶל

he·ḇel

Worthlessness ､

וְאֵֽין־

wə·’ên-

and

בָּ֥ם

bām

in

. מוֹעִֽיל׃

mō·w·‘îl.

unprofitable [things] .

הֲיַעֲשֶׂה־

hă·ya·‘ă·śeh-

Will make

לּ֥וֹ

lōw

אָדָ֖ם

’ā·ḏām

אֱלֹהִ֑ים

’ĕ·lō·hîm;

וְהֵ֖מָּה

wə·hêm·māh

and they [are]

לֹ֥א

lō

not

؟ אֱלֹהִֽים׃

’ĕ·lō·hîm.

､ לָכֵן֙

lā·ḵên

הִנְנִ֣י

hin·nî

､ מֽוֹדִיעָ֔ם

mō·w·ḏî·‘ām,

will cause them to know ､

בַּפַּ֣עַם

bap·pa·‘am

הַזֹּ֔את

haz·zōṯ,

אוֹדִיעֵ֥ם

’ō·w·ḏî·‘êm

I will cause them to know

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

יָדִ֖י

yā·ḏî

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

– גְּבֽוּרָתִ֑י

gə·ḇū·rā·ṯî;

My might –

וְיָדְע֖וּ

wə·yā·ḏə·‘ū

and they shall know

כִּֽי־

kî-

שְׁמִ֥י

šə·mî

My name [is]
