､ לַֽעַזָּתִ֣ים ׀
la·‘az·zā·ṯîm
[the Gazites ､
､ לֵאמֹ֗ר
lê·mōr,
[When were told] ､
בָּ֤א
bā
שִׁמְשׁוֹן֙
šim·šō·wn
. הֵ֔נָּה
hên·nāh,
וַיָּסֹ֛בּוּ
way·yā·sōb·bū
וַיֶּאֶרְבוּ־
way·ye·’er·ḇū-
and lay in wait
ל֥וֹ
lōw
כָל־
ḵāl
הַלַּ֖יְלָה
hal·lay·lāh
בְּשַׁ֣עַר
bə·ša·‘ar
at the gate
､ הָעִ֑יר
hā·‘îr;
of the city ､
וַיִּתְחָרְשׁ֤וּ
way·yiṯ·ḥā·rə·šū
כָל־
ḵāl
､ הַלַּ֙יְלָה֙
hal·lay·lāh
night ､
､ לֵאמֹ֔ר
lê·mōr,
saying ､
עַד־
‘aḏ-
､ א֥וֹר
’ō·wr
it is daylight ､
､ הַבֹּ֖קֶר
hab·bō·qer
in the morning ､
. וַהֲרְגְנֻֽהוּ׃‪‬
wa·hăr·ḡə·nu·hū
and we will kill him .
