עֲשֵׂ֣ה

לְךָ֗

שְׁתֵּי֙

חֲצֽוֹצְרֹ֣ת

ḥă·ṣō·wṣ·rōṯ

. כֶּ֔סֶף

ke·sep̄,

מִקְשָׁ֖ה

miq·šāh

Of hammered work

תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה

ta·‘ă·śeh

､ אֹתָ֑ם

’ō·ṯām;

them ､

וְהָי֤וּ

wə·hā·yū

and you shall make use

לְךָ֙

lə·ḵā

לְמִקְרָ֣א

lə·miq·rā

､ הָֽעֵדָ֔ה

hā·‘ê·ḏāh,

the congregation ､

וּלְמַסַּ֖ע

ū·lə·mas·sa‘

for directing the movement

אֶת־

’eṯ-

of

. הַֽמַּחֲנֽוֹת׃

ham·ma·ḥă·nō·wṯ.

the camps .

וְתָקְע֖וּ

wə·ṯā·qə·‘ū

And when they blow

בָּהֵ֑ן

bā·hên;

וְנֽוֹעֲד֤וּ

wə·nō·w·‘ă·ḏū

and shall gather

אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙

’ê·le·ḵā

כָּל־

kāl-

､ הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה

hā·‘ê·ḏāh,

the congregation ､

אֶל־

’el-

at

פֶּ֖תַח

pe·ṯaḥ

the door

אֹ֥הֶל

’ō·hel

of the tabernacle

. מוֹעֵֽד׃

mō·w·‘êḏ.

וְאִם־

wə·’im-

But if

בְּאַחַ֖ת

bə·’a·ḥaṯ

､ יִתְקָ֑עוּ

yiṯ·qā·‘ū;

וְנוֹעֲד֤וּ

wə·nō·w·‘ă·ḏū

then shall gather

אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙

’ê·le·ḵā

to you

､ הַנְּשִׂיאִ֔ים

han·nə·śî·’îm,

the leaders ､

רָאשֵׁ֖י

rā·šê

אַלְפֵ֥י

’al·p̄ê

of the divisions

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

yiś·rā·’êl.

וּתְקַעְתֶּ֖ם

ū·ṯə·qa‘·tem

And when you sound

､ תְּרוּעָ֑ה

tə·rū·‘āh;

the advance ､

וְנָֽסְעוּ֙

wə·nā·sə·‘ū

then shall begin their journey

הַֽמַּחֲנ֔וֹת

ham·ma·ḥă·nō·wṯ,

הַחֹנִ֖ים

ha·ḥō·nîm

. קֵֽדְמָה׃

qê·ḏə·māh.

on the east side .

וּתְקַעְתֶּ֤ם

ū·ṯə·qa‘·tem

And when you sound

תְּרוּעָה֙

tə·rū·‘āh

､ שֵׁנִ֔ית

šê·nîṯ,

the second [time] ､

וְנָֽסְעוּ֙

wə·nā·sə·‘ū

then shall begin their journey

הַֽמַּחֲנ֔וֹת

ham·ma·ḥă·nō·wṯ,

הַחֹנִ֖ים

ha·ḥō·nîm

. תֵּימָ֑נָה

tê·mā·nāh;

on the south side .

תְּרוּעָ֥ה

tə·rū·‘āh

יִתְקְע֖וּ

yiṯ·qə·‘ū

they shall blow

. לְמַסְעֵיהֶֽם׃

lə·mas·‘ê·hem.

for them to set out .

וּבְהַקְהִ֖יל

ū·ḇə·haq·hîl

And when is to be gathered together

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ הַקָּהָ֑ל

haq·qā·hāl;

the assembly ､

､ תִּתְקְע֖וּ

tiṯ·qə·‘ū

you shall blow ､

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

but not

. תָרִֽיעוּ׃

ṯā·rî·‘ū.

sound the advance .

וּבְנֵ֤י

ū·ḇə·nê

And the sons

､ אַהֲרֹן֙

’a·hă·rōn

of Aaron ､

､ הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים

hak·kō·hă·nîm,

the priests ､

יִתְקְע֖וּ

yiṯ·qə·‘ū

– בַּֽחֲצֹצְר֑וֹת

ba·ḥă·ṣō·ṣə·rō·wṯ;

the trumpets –

וְהָי֥וּ

wə·hā·yū

and these shall be

לָכֶ֛ם

lā·ḵem

to you

לְחֻקַּ֥ת

lə·ḥuq·qaṯ

as an ordinance

עוֹלָ֖ם

‘ō·w·lām

. לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

lə·ḏō·rō·ṯê·ḵem.

throughout your generations .

וְכִֽי־

wə·ḵî-

And when

תָבֹ֨אוּ

ṯā·ḇō·’ū

you go

מִלְחָמָ֜ה

mil·ḥā·māh

to war

בְּאַרְצְכֶ֗ם

bə·’ar·ṣə·ḵem,

עַל־

‘al-

הַצַּר֙

haṣ·ṣar

הַצֹּרֵ֣ר

haṣ·ṣō·rêr

､ אֶתְכֶ֔ם

’eṯ·ḵem,

you ､

וַהֲרֵעֹתֶ֖ם

wa·hă·rê·‘ō·ṯem

then you shall sound an alarm

– בַּחֲצֹצְר֑וֹת

ba·ḥă·ṣō·ṣə·rō·wṯ;

with the trumpets –

וֲנִזְכַּרְתֶּ֗ם‪‬

wă·niz·kar·tem,

and you will be remembered

לִפְנֵי֙

lip̄·nê

יְהוָ֣ה

Yah·weh

､ אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem,

וְנוֹשַׁעְתֶּ֖ם

wə·nō·wō·ša‘·tem

and you will be saved

. מֵאֹיְבֵיכֶֽם׃

mê·’ō·yə·ḇê·ḵem.

from your enemies .

וּבְי֨וֹם

ū·ḇə·yō·wm

And in the day

､ שִׂמְחַתְכֶ֥ם

śim·ḥaṯ·ḵem

of your gladness ､

､ וּֽבְמוֹעֲדֵיכֶם֮

ū·ḇə·mō·w·‘ă·ḏê·ḵem

and in your appointed feasts ､

וּבְרָאשֵׁ֣י

ū·ḇə·rā·šê

and at the beginning

､ חָדְשֵׁיכֶם֒

ḥā·ḏə·šê·ḵem

of your months ､

וּתְקַעְתֶּ֣ם

ū·ṯə·qa‘·tem

and you shall blow

בַּחֲצֹֽצְרֹ֗ת

ba·ḥă·ṣō·ṣə·rōṯ,

עַ֚ל

‘al

､ עֹלֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם

‘ō·lō·ṯê·ḵem,

your burnt offerings ､

וְעַ֖ל

wə·‘al

and over

זִבְחֵ֣י

ziḇ·ḥê

､ שַׁלְמֵיכֶ֑ם

šal·mê·ḵem;

of your peace offerings ､

וְהָי֨וּ

wə·hā·yū

and they shall be

לָכֶ֤ם

lā·ḵem

לְזִכָּרוֹן֙

lə·zik·kā·rō·wn

לִפְנֵ֣י

lip̄·nê

. אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem,

אֲנִ֖י

נַעֲלָה֙

מִשְׁכַּ֥ן

. הָעֵדֻֽת׃

So they started out

､ הַמִּדְיָנִי֮

the Midianite ､

חֹתֵ֣ן

ḥō·ṯên

､ מֹשֶׁה֒

mō·šeh

נֹסְעִ֣ים ׀

nō·sə·‘îm

are setting out

אֲנַ֗חְנוּ

’ă·naḥ·nū,

we

אֶל־

’el-

הַמָּקוֹם֙

ham·mā·qō·wm

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

אָמַ֣ר

’ā·mar

יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

､ אֹת֖וֹ

’ō·ṯōw

it ､

אֶתֵּ֣ן

’et·tên

I will give

. לָכֶ֑ם

lā·ḵem;

to you .

לְכָ֤ה

lə·ḵāh

אִתָּ֙נוּ֙

’it·tā·nū

with us

וְהֵטַ֣בְנוּ

wə·hê·ṭaḇ·nū

and we will treat well

､ לָ֔ךְ

lāḵ,

you ､

כִּֽי־

kî-

יְהוָ֥ה

דִּבֶּר־

עַל־

‘al-

to

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר

And he said

､ אֵלָ֖יו

to him ､

לֹ֣א

not

– אֵלֵ֑ךְ

’ê·lêḵ;

I will go –

כִּ֧י

kî

but

אִם־

’im-

I

אֶל־

’el-

to

､ אַרְצִ֛י

’ar·ṣî

my [own] land ､

וְאֶל־

wə·’el-

and to

מוֹלַדְתִּ֖י

mō·w·laḏ·tî

. אֵלֵֽךְ׃

’ê·lêḵ.

will depart .

､ וַיֹּ֕אמֶר

way·yō·mer

So [Moses] said ､

､ אַל־

’al-

not ､

– נָ֖א

nā

תַּעֲזֹ֣ב

ta·‘ă·zōḇ

､ אֹתָ֑נוּ

’ō·ṯā·nū;

- ､

כִּ֣י ׀

kî

עַל־

‘al-

כֵּ֣ן

kên

יָדַ֗עְתָּ

yā·ḏa‘·tā,

חֲנֹתֵ֙נוּ֙

ḥă·nō·ṯê·nū

how we are to camp

､ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר

bam·miḏ·bār,

in the wilderness ､

וְהָיִ֥יתָ

wə·hā·yî·ṯā

and you can be

לָּ֖נוּ

lā·nū

. לְעֵינָֽיִם׃

lə·‘ê·nā·yim.

､ וְהָיָ֖ה

wə·hā·yāh

And it shall be ､

כִּי־

kî-

if

תֵלֵ֣ךְ

ṯê·lêḵ

you go

､ עִמָּ֑נוּ

‘im·mā·nū;

with us ､

וְהָיָ֣ה ׀

wə·hā·yāh

and indeed it shall be

הַטּ֣וֹב

haṭ·ṭō·wḇ

הַה֗וּא

ha·hū,

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

’ă·šer

יֵיטִ֧יב

yê·ṭîḇ

will do

יְהוָ֛ה

Yah·weh

､ עִמָּ֖נוּ

‘im·mā·nū

to us ､

וְהֵטַ֥בְנוּ

wə·hê·ṭaḇ·nū

and the same we will do

. לָֽךְ׃

lāḵ.

to you .

וַיִּסְעוּ֙

way·yis·‘ū

So they departed

מֵהַ֣ר

from the mountain

､ יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

of Yahweh ､

דֶּ֖רֶךְ

de·reḵ

שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת

šə·lō·šeṯ

､ יָמִ֑ים

yā·mîm;

days ､

וַאֲר֨וֹן

wa·’ă·rō·wn

and the ark

בְּרִית־

bə·rîṯ-

of the covenant

יְהוָ֜ה

Yah·weh

נֹסֵ֣עַ

nō·sê·a‘

､ לִפְנֵיהֶ֗ם

lip̄·nê·hem,

before them ､

דֶּ֚רֶךְ

de·reḵ

for the journey

שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת

šə·lō·šeṯ

､ יָמִ֔ים

yā·mîm,

days ､

לָת֥וּר

lā·ṯūr

לָהֶ֖ם

lā·hem

. מְנוּחָֽה׃

mə·nū·ḥāh.

a resting place .

וַעֲנַ֧ן

wa·‘ă·nan

And the cloud

יְהוָ֛ה

Yah·weh

עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם

‘ă·lê·hem

[was] above them

､ יוֹמָ֑ם

yō·w·mām;

by day ､

בְּנָסְעָ֖ם

bə·nā·sə·‘ām

מִן־

min-

הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃

ham·ma·ḥă·neh.

the camp

so whenever it was ､

בִּנְסֹ֥עַ

bin·sō·a‘

､ הָאָרֹ֖ן

hā·’ā·rōn

the ark ､

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

way·yō·mer

､ מֹשֶׁ֑ה

mō·šeh;

､ קוּמָ֣ה ׀

qū·māh

Rise up ､

､ יְהוָ֗ה

Yah·weh

וְיָפֻ֙צוּ֙

wə·yā·p̄u·ṣū

and be scattered

– אֹֽיְבֶ֔יךָ

’ō·yə·ḇe·ḵā,

let Your enemies –

וְיָנֻ֥סוּ

wə·yā·nu·sū

מְשַׂנְאֶ֖יךָ

mə·śan·’e·ḵā

those who hate You

. מִפָּנֶֽיךָ׃

mip·pā·ne·ḵā.

וּבְנֻחֹ֖ה

ū·ḇə·nu·ḥōh

And when it rested

､ יֹאמַ֑ר

yō·mar;

he said ､

､ שׁוּבָ֣ה

šū·ḇāh

､ יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

רִֽבְב֖וֹת

riḇ·ḇō·wṯ

[To] the ten thousands

אַלְפֵ֥י

’al·p̄ê

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

yiś·rā·’êl.
