To You I Do Lift Up My Eyes

שִׁ֗יר
šîr,
. הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת
ham·ma·‘ă·lō·wṯ
of Ascents .
אֵ֭לֶיךָ
’ê·le·ḵā
נָשָׂ֣אתִי
nā·śā·ṯî
I lift up
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
､ עֵינַ֑י
‘ê·nay;
my eyes ､
הַ֝יֹּשְׁבִ֗י
hay·yō·šə·ḇî,
. בַּשָּׁמָֽיִם׃
baš·šā·mā·yim.
in the heavens .

､ הִנֵּ֨ה
hin·nêh
Behold ､
כְעֵינֵ֪י
ḵə·‘ê·nê
as the eyes
עֲבָדִ֡ים
‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm
אֶל־
’el-
[look] to
יַ֤ד
yaḏ
the hand
､ אֲ‍ֽדוֹנֵיהֶ֗ם
’ăḏō·w·nê·hem,
of their masters ､
כְּעֵינֵ֣י
kə·‘ê·nê
as the eyes
שִׁפְחָה֮
šip̄·ḥāh
אֶל־
’el-
to
יַ֪ד
yaḏ
the hand
– גְּבִ֫רְתָּ֥הּ
gə·ḇir·tāh
of her mistress –
כֵּ֣ן
kên
so
עֵ֭ינֵינוּ
‘ê·nê·nū
אֶל־
’el-
to
יְהוָ֣ה
Yah·weh
､ אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ
’ĕ·lō·hê·nū;
our God ､
עַ֝֗ד
‘aḏ,
. שֶׁיְּחָנֵּֽנוּ׃
še·yə·ḥān·nê·nū.
He has mercy on us .

חָנֵּ֣נוּ
ḥān·nê·nū
Have mercy on us
､ יְהוָ֣ה
Yah·weh
Yahweh ､
חָנֵּ֑נוּ
ḥān·nê·nū;
have mercy on us
כִּֽי־
kî-
רַ֝֗ב
raḇ,
שָׂבַ֥עְנוּ
śā·ḇa‘·nū
. בֽוּז׃
ḇūz.
with contempt .

rab·baṯ
שָֽׂבְעָה־
śā·ḇə·‘āh-
לָּ֪הּ
lāh
to
נַ֫פְשֵׁ֥נוּ
nap̄·šê·nū
הַלַּ֥עַג
hal·la·‘aḡ
with the scorn
､ הַשַּׁאֲנַנִּ֑ים
haš·ša·’ă·nan·nîm;
of those who are at ease ､
הַ֝בּ֗וּז
hab·būz,
with the contempt
. לִגְאֵ֥יוֹנִֽים׃‪‬
liḡ·’ê·yō·w·nîm
of the proud .
