לַמְנַצֵּ֬חַ

of the sons

､ קֹ֬רַח

qō·raḥ

of Korah ､

. מַשְׂכִּֽיל׃

maś·kîl.

a Contemplation .

､ אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀

’ĕ·lō·hîm

God ､

､ בְּאָזְנֵ֬ינוּ

bə·’ā·zə·nê·nū

with our ears ､

שָׁמַ֗עְנוּ

šā·ma‘·nū,

אֲבוֹתֵ֥ינוּ

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·nū

סִפְּרוּ־

sip·pə·rū-

לָ֑נוּ

lā·nū;

us

פֹּ֥עַל

pō·‘al

פָּעַ֥לְתָּ

pā·‘al·tā

､ בִֽ֝ימֵיהֶ֗ם

ḇî·mê·hem,

in their days ､

בִּ֣ימֵי

bî·mê

. קֶֽדֶם׃

qe·ḏem.

of old .

אַתָּ֤ה ׀

’at·tāh

､ יָדְךָ֡

yā·ḏə·ḵā

with Your hand ､

גּוֹיִ֣ם

gō·w·yim

ה֭וֹרַשְׁתָּ

hō·w·raš·tā

וַתִּטָּעֵ֑ם

wat·tiṭ·ṭā·‘êm;

but them You planted

תָּרַ֥ע

tā·ra‘

､ לְ֝אֻמִּ֗ים

lə·’um·mîm,

the peoples ､

. וַֽתְּשַׁלְּחֵֽם׃

wat·tə·šal·lə·ḥêm.

and cast them out .

כִּ֤י

kî

לֹ֪א

lō

not

､ בְחַרְבָּ֡ם

ḇə·ḥar·bām

by their own sword ､

יָ֥רְשׁוּ

yā·rə·šū

they did gain possession

אָ֗רֶץ

’ā·reṣ,

of the land

וּזְרוֹעָם֮

ū·zə·rō·w·‘ām

and their own arm

לֹא־

lō-

הוֹשִׁ֪יעָ֫ה

hō·wō·šî·‘āh

לָּ֥מוֹ

lā·mōw

כִּֽי־

kî-

but

､ יְמִֽינְךָ֣

yə·mî·nə·ḵā

it was Your right hand ､

､ וּ֭זְרוֹעֲךָ

ū·zə·rō·w·‘ă·ḵā

and Your arm ､

וְא֥וֹר

wə·’ō·wr

and the light

､ פָּנֶ֗יךָ

pā·ne·ḵā,

of Your countenance ､

כִּ֣י

kî

. רְצִיתָֽם׃

rə·ṣî·ṯām.

You favored them .

אַתָּה־

’at·tāh-

ה֣וּא

hū

､ מַלְכִּ֣י

mal·kî

my King ､

– אֱלֹהִ֑ים

’ĕ·lō·hîm;

God –

צַ֝וֵּ֗ה

ṣaw·wêh,

יְשׁוּע֥וֹת

yə·šū·‘ō·wṯ

. יַעֲקֹֽב׃

ya·‘ă·qōḇ.

בְּ֭ךָ

bə·ḵā

– צָרֵ֣ינוּ

ṣā·rê·nū

our enemies –

נְנַגֵּ֑חַ

nə·nag·gê·aḥ;

we will push down

בְּ֝שִׁמְךָ֗

bə·šim·ḵā,

Through Your name

נָב֥וּס

nā·ḇūs

we will trample

. קָמֵֽינוּ׃

qā·mê·nū.

those who rise up against us .

כִּ֤י

kî

לֹ֣א

lō

not

､ בְקַשְׁתִּ֣י

ḇə·qaš·tî

in my bow ､

אֶבְטָ֑ח

’eḇ·ṭāḥ;

I will trust

וְ֝חַרְבִּ֗י

wə·ḥar·bî,

and my sword

לֹ֣א

lō

. תוֹשִׁיעֵֽנִי׃

ṯō·wō·šî·‘ê·nî.

shall save me .

כִּ֣י

kî

But

ה֭וֹשַׁעְתָּנוּ

hō·wō·ša‘·tā·nū

You have saved us

､ מִצָּרֵ֑ינוּ

miṣ·ṣā·rê·nū;

from our enemies ､

וּמְשַׂנְאֵ֥ינוּ

ū·mə·śan·’ê·nū

and those who hated us

. הֱבִישֽׁוֹתָ׃

hĕ·ḇî·šō·w·ṯā.

have put to shame .

בֵּֽ֭אלֹהִים

bê·lō·hîm

In God

הִלַּלְ֣נוּ‪‬

hil·lal·nū

כָל־

ḵāl

הַיּ֑וֹם

hay·yō·wm;

וְשִׁמְךָ֓ ׀

wə·šim·ḵā

לְעוֹלָ֖ם

lə·‘ō·w·lām

נוֹדֶ֣ה

nō·w·ḏeh

. סֶֽלָה׃

se·lāh.

אַף־

’ap̄-

But

､ זָ֭נַחְתָּ

zā·naḥ·tā

You have cast [us] off ､

– וַתַּכְלִימֵ֑נוּ

wat·taḵ·lî·mê·nū;

and put us to shame –

וְלֹא־

wə·lō-

and not

תֵ֝צֵ֗א

ṯê·ṣê,

You do go out

. בְּצִבְאוֹתֵֽינוּ׃

bə·ṣiḇ·’ō·w·ṯê·nū.

with our armies .

תְּשִׁיבֵ֣נוּ

tə·šî·ḇê·nū

You make us turn

אָ֭חוֹר

’ā·ḥō·wr

מִנִּי־

min·nî-

– צָ֑ר

ṣār;

the enemy –

וּ֝מְשַׂנְאֵ֗ינוּ

ū·mə·śan·’ê·nū,

and those who hate us

שָׁ֣סוּ

šā·sū

have taken spoil

. לָֽמוֹ׃

lā·mōw.

for themselves .

תִּ֭תְּנֵנוּ

tit·tə·nê·nū

You have given us up

כְּצֹ֣אן

kə·ṣōn

– מַאֲכָ֑ל

ma·’ă·ḵāl;

[intended] for food –

וּ֝בַגּוֹיִ֗ם

ū·ḇag·gō·w·yim,

and among the nations

. זֵרִיתָֽנוּ׃

zê·rî·ṯā·nū.

have scattered us .

תִּמְכֹּֽר־

tim·kōr-

עַמְּךָ֥

‘am·mə·ḵā

בְלֹא־

ḇə·lō-

､ ה֑וֹן

hō·wn;

[next to] nothing ､

וְלֹ֥א־

wə·lō-

and not

רִ֝בִּ֗יתָ

rib·bî·ṯā,

. בִּמְחִירֵיהֶֽם׃

bim·ḥî·rê·hem.

by selling them .

תְּשִׂימֵ֣נוּ

tə·śî·mê·nū

חֶ֭רְפָּה

ḥer·pāh

､ לִשְׁכֵנֵ֑ינוּ

liš·ḵê·nê·nū;

to our neighbors ､

לַ֥עַג

la·‘aḡ

וָ֝קֶ֗לֶס

wā·qe·les,

. לִסְבִיבוֹתֵֽינוּ׃

lis·ḇî·ḇō·w·ṯê·nū.

to those all around us .

תְּשִׂימֵ֣נוּ

tə·śî·mê·nū

מָ֭שָׁל

mā·šāl

､ בַּגּוֹיִ֑ם

bag·gō·w·yim;

among the nations ､

מְנֽוֹד־

mə·nō·wḏ-

רֹ֝֗אשׁ

rōš,

of the head

בַּל־

bal-

. אֻמִּֽים׃

’um·mîm.

כָּל־

kāl-

הַ֭יּוֹם

hay·yō·wm

כְּלִמָּתִ֣י

kə·lim·mā·ṯî

My dishonor [is]

נֶגְדִּ֑י

neḡ·dî;

וּבֹ֖שֶׁת

ū·ḇō·šeṯ

and the shame

פָּנַ֣י

pā·nay

of my face

. כִּסָּֽתְנִי׃

kis·sā·ṯə·nî.

has covered me .

מִ֭קּוֹל

miq·qō·wl

Because of the voice

מְחָרֵ֣ף

mə·ḥā·rêp̄

of him who reproaches

– וּמְגַדֵּ֑ף

ū·mə·ḡad·dêp̄;

and reviles –

מִפְּנֵ֥י

mip·pə·nê

א֝וֹיֵ֗ב

’ō·w·yêḇ,

of the enemy

. וּמִתְנַקֵּֽם׃

ū·miṯ·naq·qêm.

and the avenger .

כָּל־

kāl-

זֹ֣את

zōṯ

בָּ֭אַתְנוּ

bā·’aṯ·nū

has come upon us

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

but not

שְׁכַחֲנ֑וּךָ

šə·ḵa·ḥă·nū·ḵā;

we have forgotten You

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō·ši-

שִׁ֝קַּ֗רְנוּ

qar·nū,

have we dealt falsely

. בִּבְרִיתֶֽךָ׃

biḇ·rî·ṯe·ḵā.

with Your covenant .

לֹא־

Not

נָס֣וֹג

nā·sō·wḡ

､ אָח֣וֹר

’ā·ḥō·wr

back ､

לִבֵּ֑נוּ

lib·bê·nū;

וַתֵּ֥ט

wat·têṭ

nor have departed

אֲשֻׁרֵ֗ינוּ

’ă·šu·rê·nū,

מִנִּ֥י

min·nî

– אָרְחֶֽךָ׃

’ā·rə·ḥe·ḵā.

כִּ֣י

kî

but

דִ֭כִּיתָנוּ

ḏik·kî·ṯā·nū

You have severely broken us

בִּמְק֣וֹם

bim·qō·wm

in the place

､ תַּנִּ֑ים

tan·nîm;

of jackals ､

וַתְּכַ֖ס

wat·tə·ḵas

עָלֵ֣ינוּ

‘ā·lê·nū

us

. בְצַלְמָֽוֶת׃

ḇə·ṣal·mā·weṯ.

with the shadow of death .

אִם־

’i·mō·šā-

If

שָׁ֭כַחְנוּ

ḵaḥ·nū

we had forgotten

שֵׁ֣ם

šêm

the name

､ אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ

’ĕ·lō·hê·nū;

of our God ､

וַנִּפְרֹ֥שׂ

wan·nip̄·rōś

Or stretched out

כַּ֝פֵּ֗ינוּ

kap·pê·nū,

– לְאֵ֣ל

lə·’êl

to a god –

. זָֽר׃

zār.

הֲלֹ֣א

hă·lō

אֱ֭לֹהִים

’ĕ·lō·hîm

יַֽחֲקָר־

ya·ḥă·qār-

זֹ֑את

zōṯ;

כִּֽי־

kî-

ה֥וּא

hū

He

יֹ֝דֵ֗עַ

yō·ḏê·a‘,

תַּעֲלֻמ֥וֹת

ta·‘ă·lu·mō·wṯ

. לֵֽב׃

lêḇ.

of the heart .

､ כִּֽי־

Yet ､

עָ֭לֶיךָ

‘ā·le·ḵā

הֹרַ֣גְנוּ

hō·raḡ·nū

כָל־

ḵāl

הַיּ֑וֹם

hay·yō·wm;

נֶ֝חְשַׁ֗בְנוּ

neḥ·šaḇ·nū,

we are accounted

כְּצֹ֣אן

kə·ṣōn

. טִבְחָֽה׃

ṭiḇ·ḥāh.

for the slaughter .

､ ע֤וּרָה ׀

‘ū·rāh

לָ֖מָּה

lām·māh

תִישַׁ֥ן ׀

ṯî·šan

؟ אֲדֹנָ֑י

’ă·ḏō·nāy;

､ הָ֝קִ֗יצָה

hā·qî·ṣāh,

אַל־

’al-

not

תִּזְנַ֥ח

tiz·naḥ

do cast [us] off

. לָנֶֽצַח׃

lā·ne·ṣaḥ.

לָֽמָּה־

lām·māh-

､ פָנֶ֥יךָ

p̄ā·ne·ḵā

תַסְתִּ֑יר

ṯas·tîr;

תִּשְׁכַּ֖ח

tiš·kaḥ

[And] forget

עָנְיֵ֣נוּ

‘ā·nə·yê·nū

؟ וְֽלַחֲצֵֽנוּ׃

wə·la·ḥă·ṣê·nū.

and our oppression ؟

כִּ֤י

kî

שָׁ֣חָה

šā·ḥāh

– לֶעָפָ֣ר

le·‘ā·p̄ār

to the dust –

נַפְשֵׁ֑נוּ

nap̄·šê·nū;

דָּבְקָ֖ה

dā·ḇə·qāh

לָאָ֣רֶץ

lā·’ā·reṣ

to the ground

. בִּטְנֵֽנוּ׃

biṭ·nê·nū.

ק֭וּמָֽה

qū·māh

､ עֶזְרָ֣תָה

‘ez·rā·ṯāh

לָּ֑נוּ

lā·nū;

וּ֝פְדֵ֗נוּ

ū·p̄ə·ḏê·nū,

and redeem us

לְמַ֣עַן

lə·ma·‘an

. חַסְדֶּֽךָ׃

ḥas·de·ḵā.

Your mercies' .
