Praise Waits for You, God, in Zion

､ לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ

lam·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ

To the Chief Musician ､

מִזְמ֗וֹר

miz·mō·wr,

. לְדָוִ֥ד

lə·ḏā·wiḏ

of David .

שִֽׁיר׃

šîr.

לְךָ֤

lə·ḵā

דֻֽמִיָּ֬ה

ḏu·mî·yāh

תְהִלָּ֓ה

ṯə·hil·lāh

､ אֱלֹ֘הִ֥ים

’ĕ·lō·hîm

God ､

､ בְּצִיּ֑וֹן

bə·ṣî·yō·wn;

in Zion ､

וּ֝לְךָ֗

ū·lə·ḵā,

and to You

יְשֻׁלַּם־

yə·šul·lam-

shall be performed

. נֶֽדֶר׃

ne·ḏer.

the vow .

שֹׁמֵ֥עַ

šō·mê·a‘

､ תְּפִלָּ֑ה

tə·p̄il·lāh;

עָ֝דֶ֗יךָ

‘ā·ḏe·ḵā,

to You

כָּל־

kāl-

בָּשָׂ֥ר

bā·śār

. יָבֹֽאוּ׃

yā·ḇō·’ū.

will come .

דִּבְרֵ֣י

diḇ·rê

עֲ֭וֺנֹת

‘ă·wō·nōṯ

גָּ֣בְרוּ

gā·ḇə·rū

מֶ֑נִּי

men·nî;

､ פְּ֝שָׁעֵ֗ינוּ

pə·šā·‘ê·nū,

[As for] our transgressions ､

אַתָּ֥ה

’at·tāh

. תְכַפְּרֵֽם׃

ṯə·ḵap·pə·rêm.

will provide atonement for them .

אַשְׁרֵ֤י ׀

’aš·rê

Blessed [is the man]

､ תִּֽבְחַ֣ר

tiḇ·ḥar

וּתְקָרֵב֮

ū·ṯə·qā·rêḇ

and cause to approach [You]

יִשְׁכֹּ֪ן

yiš·kōn

[That] he may dwell

. חֲצֵ֫רֶ֥יךָ

ḥă·ṣê·re·ḵā

in Your courts .

נִ֭שְׂבְּעָה

niś·bə·‘āh

We shall be satisfied

בְּט֣וּב

bə·ṭūḇ

with the goodness

､ בֵּיתֶ֑ךָ

bê·ṯe·ḵā;

of Your house ､

קְ֝דֹ֗שׁ

qə·ḏōš,

. הֵיכָלֶֽךָ׃

hê·ḵā·le·ḵā.

of Your temple .

נ֤וֹרָא֨וֹת ׀

nō·w·rā·’ō·wṯ

[By] awesome deeds

בְּצֶ֣דֶק

bə·ṣe·ḏeq

in righteousness

תַּ֭עֲנֵנוּ

ta·‘ă·nê·nū

You will answer us

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

’ĕ·lō·hê

– יִשְׁעֵ֑נוּ

yiš·‘ê·nū;

of our salvation –

מִבְטָ֥ח

miḇ·ṭāḥ

[You who are] the confidence

כָּל־

kāl-

of all

קַצְוֵי־

qaṣ·wê-

the ends

､ אֶ֝֗רֶץ

’e·reṣ,

of the earth ､

– וְיָ֣ם

wə·yām

and of the –

. רְחֹקִֽים׃

rə·ḥō·qîm.

מֵכִ֣ין

mê·ḵîn

Who established

– הָרִ֣ים

hā·rîm

the mountains –

בְּכֹח֑וֹ

bə·ḵō·ḥōw;

by His strength

נֶ֝אְזָ֗ר

ne’·zār,

[Being] clothed

– בִּגְבוּרָֽה׃

biḡ·ḇū·rāh.

with power –

מַשְׁבִּ֤יחַ ׀

maš·bî·aḥ

שְׁא֣וֹן

šə·’ō·wn

､ יַ֭מִּים

yam·mîm

of the seas ､

שְׁא֥וֹן

šə·’ō·wn

､ גַּלֵּיהֶ֗ם

gal·lê·hem,

of their waves ､

וַהֲמ֥וֹן

wa·hă·mō·wn

and the tumult

. לְאֻמִּֽים׃

lə·’um·mîm.

of the peoples .

וַיִּ֤ירְא֨וּ ׀

way·yî·rə·’ū

And they are afraid

יֹשְׁבֵ֣י

yō·šə·ḇê

קְ֭צָוֺת

qə·ṣā·wōṯ

in the farthest parts

– מֵאוֹתֹתֶ֑יךָ

mê·’ō·w·ṯō·ṯe·ḵā;

of Your signs –

מ֤וֹצָֽאֵי־

mō·w·ṣā·’ê-

בֹ֖קֶר

ḇō·qer

of the morning

וָעֶ֣רֶב

wā·‘e·reḇ

. תַּרְנִֽין׃

tar·nîn.

You make rejoice .

פָּקַ֥דְתָּ

pā·qaḏ·tā

､ הָאָ֨רֶץ ׀

hā·’ā·reṣ

the earth ､

וַתְּשֹׁ֪קְקֶ֡הָ

wat·tə·šō·qə·qe·hā

and water it

רַבַּ֬ת

rab·baṯ

תַּעְשְׁרֶ֗נָּה

ta‘·šə·ren·nāh,

פֶּ֣לֶג

pe·leḡ

､ אֱ֭לֹהִים

’ĕ·lō·hîm

of God ､

מָ֣לֵא

mā·lê

– מָ֑יִם

mā·yim;

of water –

תָּכִ֥ין

tā·ḵîn

､ דְּ֝גָנָ֗ם

də·ḡā·nām,

their grain ､

כִּי־

kî-

כֵ֥ן

ḵên

so

. תְּכִינֶֽהָ׃

tə·ḵî·ne·hā.

You have prepared it .

תְּלָמֶ֣יהָ

tə·lā·me·hā

– רַ֭וֵּה

raw·wêh

You water abundantly –

נַחֵ֣ת

na·ḥêṯ

גְּדוּדֶ֑יהָ

gə·ḏū·ḏe·hā;

､ בִּרְבִיבִ֥ים

bir·ḇî·ḇîm

with showers ､

תְּ֝מֹגְגֶ֗נָּה

tə·mō·ḡə·ḡen·nāh,

You make it soft

צִמְחָ֥הּ

ṣim·ḥāh

. תְּבָרֵֽךְ׃

tə·ḇā·rêḵ.

עִ֭טַּרְתָּ

‘iṭ·ṭar·tā

שְׁנַ֣ת

šə·naṯ

the year with

– טוֹבָתֶ֑ךָ

ṭō·w·ḇā·ṯe·ḵā;

Your goodness –

וּ֝מַעְגָּלֶ֗יךָ

ū·ma‘·gā·le·ḵā,

יִרְעֲפ֥וּן

yir·‘ă·p̄ūn

. דָּֽשֶׁן׃

dā·šen.

[with] abundance .

יִ֭רְעֲפוּ

yir·‘ă·p̄ū

נְא֣וֹת

nə·’ō·wṯ

[on] the pastures

– מִדְבָּ֑ר

miḏ·bār;

of the wilderness –

וְ֝גִ֗יל

wə·ḡîl,

גְּבָע֥וֹת

gə·ḇā·‘ō·wṯ

the little hills

. תַּחְגֹּֽרְנָה׃

taḥ·gō·rə·nāh.

on every side .

לָבְשׁ֬וּ

lā·ḇə·šū

כָרִ֨ים ׀

ḵā·rîm

– הַצֹּ֗אן

haṣ·ṣōn,

with flocks –

וַעֲמָקִ֥ים

wa·‘ă·mā·qîm

and the valleys

יַֽעַטְפוּ־

ya·‘aṭ·p̄ū-

– בָ֑ר

ḇār;

with grain –

､ יִ֝תְרוֹעֲע֗וּ

yiṯ·rō·w·‘ă·‘ū,

they shout for joy ､

אַף־

’ap̄-

. יָשִֽׁירוּ׃

yā·šî·rū.
