We Give Thanks, for Your Name is Near

､ לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ

lam·naṣ·ṣê·aḥ

do Not Destroy ､

מִזְמ֖וֹר

miz·mō·wr

. לְאָסָ֣ף

lə·’ā·sāp̄

of Asaph .

שִֽׁיר׃

šîr.

､ ה֘וֹדִ֤ינוּ

hō·w·ḏî·nū

we give thanks ､

לְּךָ֨ ׀

lə·ḵā

to You

､ אֱ‍ֽלֹהִ֗ים

’ĕlō·hîm,

God ､

– ה֭וֹדִינוּ

hō·w·ḏî·nū

we give thanks –

וְקָר֣וֹב

wə·qā·rō·wḇ

שְׁמֶ֑ךָ

šə·me·ḵā;

סִ֝פְּר֗וּ

sip·pə·rū,

. נִפְלְאוֹתֶֽיךָ׃

nip̄·lə·’ō·w·ṯe·ḵā.

Your wondrous works .

כִּ֭י

kî

אֶקַּ֣ח

’eq·qaḥ

מוֹעֵ֑ד

mō·w·‘êḏ;

the proper time

אֲ֝נִ֗י

’ă·nî,

I

מֵישָׁרִ֥ים

mê·šā·rîm

. אֶשְׁפֹּֽט׃

’eš·pōṭ.

will judge .

– נְֽמֹגִ֗ים

nə·mō·ḡîm,

Are dissolved –

אֶ֥רֶץ

’e·reṣ

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

and all

יֹשְׁבֶ֑יהָ

yō·šə·ḇe·hā;

its inhabitants

אָנֹכִ֨י

’ā·nō·ḵî

I

תִכַּ֖נְתִּי

ṯik·kan·tî

עַמּוּדֶ֣יהָ

‘am·mū·ḏe·hā

. סֶּֽלָה׃

se·lāh.

אָמַ֣רְתִּי

’ā·mar·tî

､ לַֽ֭הוֹלְלִים

la·hō·wl·lîm

to the boastful ､

אַל־

’al-

not

תָּהֹ֑לּוּ

tā·hōl·lū;

do deal boastfully

､ וְ֝לָרְשָׁעִ֗ים

wə·lā·rə·šā·‘îm,

and to the wicked ､

אַל־

’al-

not

תָּרִ֥ימוּ

tā·rî·mū

do lift up

– קָֽרֶן׃

qā·ren.

the horn –

אַל־

’al-

not

תָּרִ֣ימוּ

tā·rî·mū

do lift up

､ לַמָּר֣וֹם

lam·mā·rō·wm

on high ､

קַרְנְכֶ֑ם

qar·nə·ḵem;

תְּדַבְּר֖וּ

tə·ḏab·bə·rū

do [not] speak

בְצַוָּ֣אר

ḇə·ṣaw·wār

with a neck

. עָתָֽק׃

‘ā·ṯāq.

כִּ֤י

kî

לֹ֣א

lō

､ מִ֭מּוֹצָא

mim·mō·w·ṣā

from the east ､

､ וּמִֽמַּעֲרָ֑ב

ū·mim·ma·‘ă·rāḇ;

nor from the west ､

וְ֝לֹ֗א

wə·lō,

מִמִּדְבַּ֥ר

mim·miḏ·bar

. הָרִֽים׃

hā·rîm.

exaltation [comes] .

כִּֽי־

kî-

But

אֱלֹהִ֥ים

’ĕ·lō·hîm

God [is]

– שֹׁפֵ֑ט

šō·p̄êṭ;

the Judge –

､ זֶ֥ה

zeh

this [one] ､

יַ֝שְׁפִּ֗יל

yaš·pîl,

וְזֶ֣ה

wə·zeh

and this [one]

. יָרִֽים׃

yā·rîm.

כִּ֤י

kî

､ כ֪וֹס

ḵō·ws

[there is] a cup ､

בְּֽיַד־

bə·yaḏ-

in the hand

יְהוָ֡ה

Yah·weh

וְיַ֤יִן

wə·ya·yin

and the wine

– חָמַ֨ר ׀

ḥā·mar

is red –

מָ֥לֵא

mā·lê

it is fully

– מֶסֶךְ֮

me·seḵ

וַיַּגֵּ֪ר

way·yag·gêr

and He pours

– מִ֫זֶּ֥ה

miz·zeh

from this [one] –

אַךְ־

’a·ḵōš-

שְׁ֭מָרֶיהָ

mā·re·hā

､ יִמְצ֣וּ

yim·ṣū

shall Drain ､

יִשְׁתּ֑וּ

yiš·tū;

[and] drink down

כֹּ֝֗ל

kōl,

רִשְׁעֵי־

riš·‘ê-

. אָֽרֶץ׃

’ā·reṣ.

of the earth .

וַ֭אֲנִי

wa·’ă·nî

But I

אַגִּ֣יד

’ag·gîḏ

– לְעֹלָ֑ם

lə·‘ō·lām;

אֲ֝זַמְּרָ֗ה

’ă·zam·mə·rāh,

I will sing praises

לֵאלֹהֵ֥י

lê·lō·hê

to the God

. יַעֲקֹֽב׃

ya·‘ă·qōḇ.

of Jacob .

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

And all

קַרְנֵ֣י

qar·nê

רְשָׁעִ֣ים

rə·šā·‘îm

of the wicked

– אֲגַדֵּ֑עַ

’ă·ḡad·dê·a‘;

I will cut off –

תְּ֝רוֹמַ֗מְנָה

tə·rō·w·mam·nāh,

[But] shall be exalted

קַֽרְנ֥וֹת

qar·nō·wṯ

. צַדִּֽיק׃

ṣad·dîq.

of the righteous .
