Mark 12:41-44 - A Poor Widow's Offering

Mark 12:41-44

41 And as Jesus was sitting over against the treasury, He saw how the people threw money into the treasury, and many of the rich put in much; 42 and there came a poor widow and put in two mites, that is, a farthing. 43 And He called his disciples to Him, and saith unto them, Verily I tell you, that this poor widow has given more than all those who have cast into the treasury. 44 For they all have contributed out of their abundance: but she out of her penury hath given all that she had, even her whole living.

Luke 21:1-4

1 And He looked up and saw the rich people bringing their gifts to the treasury: 2 and He saw also a poor widow throwing in two mites. 3 And He said, Verily I tell you, this poor widow hath put in more than they all. 4 For all these have out of their abundance contributed to the offerings of God: but she out of her penury hath given all she had.
