Matthew 24:15-28 - The Abomination Of Desolation
15 When therefore ye shall see the desolating abomination, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing at the holy place, (let him, that readeth, attend) then let those in Judea flee to the mountains: 16 let not him that is at the top of the house come down into it, 17 to take any thing out of his house; 18 nor let him that is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days. 20 Pray that your flight be not in the winter, nor on the sabbath: 21 for there shall be then great affliction, such as has not been from the beginning of the world unto this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days be shortened, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any shall say to you, Behold here is the Messiah, or there; believe it not: 24 for there shall rise up false Christs, and false prophets, who shall shew great signs and prodigies, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 Lo, I have told you before-hand: and therefore if they say to you, 26 Behold, he is in the desert, go not out: behold, he is the secret chambers, believe them not: 27 for as the lightning cometh from the east, and flashes in an instant even to the west, so shall be the coming of the Son of man. 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
14 Now when ye shall see the desolating abomination, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, set up where it ought not to be, (let him that readeth, attend) then let those in Judea flee to the mountains: 15 and let not him that is at the top of the house come down into the house, nor go in to fetch any thing out of his house: 16 nor let him that is in the field return back for his clothes. 17 But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days. 18 But pray that your flight may not be in the winter; 19 for in those days shall be such affliction as never was from the beginning of the world, unto this day, nor ever shall be. 20 And if the Lord did not shorten those days, none could escape: but for the sake of the elect, whom He hath chosen, He hath shortened those days.
21 And then if any shall say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or, Behold, He is there, believe it not: 22 for there shall rise up false Christs, and false prophets, who shall work signs and wonders, to seduce, if possible, even the elect. 23 But do ye beware: behold, I have told you all before.
