1 John 3:19-24 - Courage Before God
19 Hereby we shall know that we are true professors, and set our consciences securely at rest. 20 for if our conscience condemn us, God knows us better than we do our selves, he knoweth all things.
21 beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we may securely confide in God. 22 whatever we ask, we shall receive it of him, because we keep his commandments, and do what is agreeable to him. 23 now this is his commandment, that we believe in his son Jesus Christ, and that we love one another, as he commanded us. 24 he that observes his commandments, dwelleth in God, and God in him: and hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the spirit which he hath given us.
