John 5:14-18 - Equal With God
14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple. And He said to him, "Behold, you have been made well; sin no more, lest something worse befall you." 15 The man went away, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who made him well.
16 And, on this account, the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the sabbath. 17 But He answered them, "My Father worketh even until now, and I work." 18 For this cause, therefore, the Jews were seeking the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the sabbath, but also called God His Father, making Himself equal with God.
