Matthew 12:15-21 - God's Chosen Servant

15 But Jesus perceived it, and withdrew from that place. And many multitudes followed him, and he cured them all. 16 And he charged them not to make him known; 17 that the word might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

18 Be hold, my servant whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul delights. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he shall declare law to the Gentiles. 19 He shall not contend, nor cry out; nor shall any one hear his voice in the streets. 20 A bruised reed he shall not break, and a smoking wick he shall not extinguish, till he shall send forth his law for conquest. 21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
