Matthew 12:15-21 - God's Chosen Servant

¹⁵ But Jesus perceived it, and withdrew from that place. And many multitudes followed him, and he cured them all. ¹⁶ And he charged them not to make him known; ¹⁷ that the word might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

¹⁸ Be hold, my servant whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul delights. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he shall declare law to the Gentiles. ¹⁹ He shall not contend, nor cry out; nor shall any one hear his voice in the streets. ²⁰ A bruised reed he shall not break, and a smoking wick he shall not extinguish, till he shall send forth his law for conquest. ²¹ And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
