Matthew 20:17-19 - Jesus Predicts His Death And Resurrection A Third Time
17 And, when about to go up to Jerusalem, Jesus took with Him the twelve disciples privately, and on the way He said to them, 18 "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the high-priests and scribes; and they will condemn Him to death; 19 and will deliver Him up to the gentiles, to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify; and, on the third day, He will be raised up "
32 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going before them. And they were being amazed: and those following Him were being terrified. And, again taking with Him the twelve, He began to tell them the things about to happen to Him:
33 "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of Man will be delivered up to the high priests, and to the scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and will deliver Him up to the gentiles; 34 and they will mock Him and will spit upon Him, and will scourge Him, and will kill Him; and after three days He will rise again."
31 And, taking the twelve aside, He said to them, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and all the things, written through the prophets respecting the Son of Man, will be accomplished; 32 for He will be delivered up to the gentiles, and will be mocked, and insulted, and spit upon, 33 and they will scourge Him, and kill Him; and, on the third day, He will rise again."
34 And they understood none of these things; and this saying was hidden from them, and they were not understanding the things being said.
