John 11:17-27 - Jesus The Resurrection And The Life
17 Then Jesus coming found that he had been four days in the tomb. 18 And Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen stadiums [1 3-4 miles] distant. 19 And many of the Jews came to those with Martha and Mary, to console them for their brother. 20 Then when Martha heard that Jesus had come, she went out to meet him; but Mary sat in the house.
21 Then Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died; 22 but now also I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you.
23 Jesus said to her, Your brother shall rise again.
24 Martha said to him, I know that he will rise at the resurrection at the last day.
25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he that believes in me, even if he has died, shall live, 26 and no one who lives and believes in me shall ever die; do you believe this?
27 She said to him, Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who comes into the world.
