Matthew 26:17-25 - Jesus' Final Passover With The Disciples

Matthew 26:17-25

17 On the first day of the Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus with the question, "Where shall we make preparations for you to eat the Passover?"

18 "Go into the city," He replied, "to a certain man, and tell him, 'The Teacher says, My time is close at hand. It is at your house that I shall keep the Passover with my disciples.'" 19 The disciples did as Jesus directed them, and got the Passover ready. 20 When evening came, He was at table with the twelve disciples, 21 and the meal was proceeding, when Jesus said, "In solemn truth I tell you that one of you will betray me."

22 Intensely grieved they began one after another to ask Him, "Can it be I, Master?"

23 "The one who has dipped his fingers in the bowl with me," He answered, "is the man who will betray me. 24 The Son of Man is indeed going as is written concerning Him; but alas for that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It had been a happy thing for that man if he had never been born."

25 Then Judas, the disciple who was betraying Him, asked, "Can it be I, Rabbi?" "It is you," He replied.

Mark 14:12-21

12 On the first day of the feast of Unleavened Bread--the day for killing the Passover lamb--His disciples asked Him, "Where shall we go and prepare for you to eat the Passover?"

13 So He sent two of His disciples with instructions, saying, "Go into the city, and you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water: follow him, 14 and whatever house he enters, tell the master of the house, 'The Rabbi asks, Where is my room where I can eat the Passover with my disciples?' 15 Then he will himself show you a large room upstairs, ready furnished: there make preparation for us." 16 So the disciples went out and came to the city, and found everything just as He had told them; and they got the Passover ready.

17 When it was evening, He came with the Twelve. 18 And while they were at table Jesus said, "I solemnly tell you that one of you will betray me--one who is eating with me."

19 They were filled with sorrow, and began asking Him, one by one, "Not I, is it?"

20 "It is one of the Twelve," He replied; "he who is dipping his fingers in the dish with me. 21 For the Son of Man is going His way as it is written about Him; but alas for the man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It had been a happy thing for that man, had he never been born."

Luke 22:7-13

7 When the day of the Unleavened Bread came--the day for the Passover lamb to be sacrificed-- 8 Jesus sent Peter and John with instructions. "Go," He said, "and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat it."

9 "Where shall we prepare it?" they asked.

10 "You will no sooner have entered the city," He replied, "than you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. Follow him into the house to which he goes, 11 and say to the master of the house, "'The Rabbi asks you, Where is the room where I can eat the Passover with my disciples?' 12 "And he will show you a large furnished room upstairs. There make your preparations."

13 So they went and found all as He had told them; and they got the Passover ready.
