1 John 1:1-4 - Prologue

1 John 1:1-4

1 It is of what has existed from the beginning, of what we have listened to, of what we have seen with our own eyes, of what we have witnessed and touched with our own heads, it is concerning the Logos of Life that we are now writing. 2 And the Life was made visible, and we have seen it and are bearing witness, and are bringing you word of that Eternal Life which was face to face with the Father and was made visible to us. 3 It is what we have seen and heard that we are announcing to you, in order that you also may have partnership with us; and our partnership is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 And we are writing all this to you that our joy may be complete.

Revelation 1:1-3

1 The unveiling apocalypse of Jesus Christ which God gave him to show to his slaves the things which must soon come to pass; and he sent and made it known by his angel to his slave John. 2 He bore witness of the Word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, even of all the things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads, and they who hear the words of the prophecy, and keep what is written in it. For the crisis is at hand.
