1 John 1:1-4 - Prologue

1 John 1:1-4

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have beheld, and our hands have handled of the word of life: 2 For the life was manifested, and we have seen, and testify and declare to you the eternal life which was with the Father, and was manifested to us: 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we to you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ: 4 And these things write we to you, that your joy may be full.

Revelation 1:1-3

1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew his servants the things which must shortly come to pass: and he sent and signified them by his angel to his servant John, 2 Who hath testified the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, all things which he saw. 3 Happy is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep the things which are written therein: for the time is near.
