Romans 5:1-11 - Reconciliation With God Through Faith In Christ

¹ Having been justified therefore by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, ² through whom also we have been introduced into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. ³ And not only [this], but we rejoice also in afflictions, knowing that affliction works out patience, ⁴ and patience, experience, and experience, hope; ⁵ and the hope makes not ashamed, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit given us.

⁶ For when we were yet weak, in due time Christ died for the wicked; ⁷ for scarcely for a righteous man will one die, but for a good man some one perhaps would even dare to die; ⁸ but God commends his love to us, that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us; ⁹ much more then being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved through him from wrath. ¹⁰ For if when enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more having become reconciled we shall be saved in his life. ¹¹ And not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we received the present reconciliation.
