Matthew 24:15-28 - The Abomination Of Desolation

Matthew 24:15-28

15 Then when you may see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that readeth know), 16 then let those who are in Judea fly to the mountains: 17 and let him who is on the housetop not come down to take things out of his house: 18 and let not the one in the field turn back to take his garment. 19 But alas unto those who are in gestation and nursing in those days. 20 But pray that your flight may not be in the winter, nor on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world even until now nor ever may be. 22 And if those days were not shortened, no life would be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.

23 Then if any one may say to you, Lo, here is Christ, or, there: believe him not: 24 for false Christs and false prophets will rise up, and give great signs and wonders; so as to deceive even the elect, if possible. 25 Behold, I have foretold you. 26 Therefore if they may say to you, Behold, He is in the desert; go not out: Behold, He is in the secret chambers; believe them not. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east, and shines even unto the west; so also shall the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For where the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

Mark 13:14-23

14 And when you may see the abomination of desolation standing where it ought not (let him that readeth know), then let those in Judea fly to the mountains: 15 and let not the one on the housetop come down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house: 16 and let not the one who is in the field turn back to take his garment. 17 But alas unto those who are in gestation and nursing in those days. 18 But pray that your flight may not be in the winter. 19 For these days will be tribulation, such as has never been from the beginning of creation which God created, until now, and never may be. 20 And unless the Lord shortened those days, no flesh would be saved: but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days.

21 And if then one may say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, Lo, there; believe not. 22 For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and give signs and wonders, to deceive even the elect, if possible. 23 But you see: behold, I have foretold you all things.
