1 John 5:6-13 - The Certainty Of God's Testimony

⁶ Jesus Christ is he who came by water and blood, not by the water only, but by the water and by the blood. The spirit is he who bears testimony, because the Spirit is the truth. ⁷ For there are three who bear testimony, the Spirit, and the water, ⁸ and the blood; and the three are one. ⁹ If we accept men's testimony, the testimony of God is greater; for this is the testimony of God, that he has borne testimony concerning his Son. ¹⁰ He who believes on the Son of God has the testimony in himself. He who does not believe God, has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. ¹¹ And the testimony is this, "God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son."

¹² He who has the Son has the life; he who has not the Son of God has not the life. ¹³ I have written these words to you so that you may know that you have eternal life, you who believe in the name of the Son of God.
