Mark 16:9-20 - The Longer Ending Of Mark

⁹ Now Jesus being risen early on the first day of the week appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven devils: ¹⁰ and she went and told those that used to be with Him, who were mourning and weeping; ¹¹ but they, though they heard that He was indeed alive, and had been seen by her, did not believe it. ¹² After this He appeared in another form to two of them as they were walking, going into the country: ¹³ and they went and told the rest; but they did not believe them neither.

¹⁴ At last he appeared to the eleven as they were sitting at table, and upbraided them with their unbelief, and hardness of heart; because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He was risen. ¹⁵ And He said unto them, Go to all the world and preach the gospel to every one: ¹⁶ he that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved; but he that believeth not, shall be condemned. ¹⁷ And these signs shall accompany them that believe; in my name shall they cast out demons, they shall speak with new tongues; ¹⁸ they shall take up serpents, and if they should drink any thing poisonous, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall be well.

¹⁹ Now the Lord, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. ²⁰ And they went forth and preached every where, the Lord co-operating with them, and confirming the word by miracles following upon it. Amen.

⁹ and my beloved Stachys. ¹⁰ Salute Apelles, a man approved in Christ. ¹¹ Salute those of the family of Aristobulus. Salute Herodion my kinsman. Salute those of the family of Narcissus, who are in the Lord. ¹² Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who are labouring in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, who hath laboured much in the Lord. ¹³ Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and even mine. ¹⁴ Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren that are with them. ¹⁵ Salute Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints that are with them. ¹⁶ Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.

¹⁷ Now I exhort you, brethren, to mark those who cause divisions and offences, contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned: ¹⁸ and avoid them; for such people serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by a soothing address and good words deceive the hearts of the innocent.

¹⁹ For your obedience is come to the knowledge of all: and therefore I rejoice on your account; but yet I would have you wise to that which is good, and simple as to that which is evil. ²⁰ And the God of peace will soon bruise Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
