Matthew 26:26-30 - The Lord's Supper

Matthew 26:26-30

26 Now [while] they were eating Jesus took bread and, [after] giving thanks, he broke [it], and giving [it] to the disciples, he said, "Take, eat, this is my body." 27 And [after] taking the cup and giving thanks he gave [it] to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you, 28 for this is my blood of the covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 29 But I tell you, from now [on] I will never drink of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of my Father." 30 And [after they] had sung the hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Mark 14:22-26

22 And [while] they were eating, he took bread [and], [after] giving thanks, he broke [it] and gave [it] to them and said, "Take [it], this is my body."

23 And [after] taking the cup [and] giving thanks, he gave [it] to them, and they all drank from it. 24 And he said to them, "This is my blood of the covenant which is poured out for many. 25 Truly I say to you that I will never drink of the fruit of the vine any longer until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God." 26 And [after they] had sung the hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Luke 22:14-23

14 And when the hour came, he reclined at the table, and the apostles with him. 15 And he said to them, "{I have earnestly desired} to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you that I will not eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God." 17 And he took in hand a cup, [and] [after] giving thanks he said, "Take this and share [it] among yourselves. 18 For I tell you, from now on I will not drink of the product of the vine until the kingdom of God comes."

19 And he took bread, [and] [after] giving thanks, he broke [it] and gave [it] to them, saying, "This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me."

20 And in the same way the cup after [they] had eaten, saying, "This cup [is] the new covenant in my blood which is poured out for you. 21 "But behold, the hand of the one who is betraying me [is] with me on the table! 22 For the Son of Man is going according to what has been determined, but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!"

23 And they began to debate with one another who then of them it could be who was going to do this.
