Now [while] they were eating Jesus took bread and, [after] giving thanks, he broke [it], and giving [it] to the disciples, he said, "Take, eat, this is my body."
And every day, devoting themselves [to meeting] with one purpose in the temple [courts] and breaking bread from house [to house], they were eating [their] food with joy and simplicity of heart,
And they began describing {what happened} on the road, and how he was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread.

So he went up and broke bread, and [when he] had eaten and talked for a long [time], until dawn, then he departed.

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? Because [there is] one bread, [we] who [are] many are one body, for [we] all share from the one bread.
and [after he] had given thanks, he broke [it] and said, "This is my body which [is] for you. Do this in remembrance of me." Likewise also the cup, after they had eaten, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink [it], in remembrance of me."
And he commanded the crowds to recline for a meal on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish [and] looking up to heaven, he gave thanks. And [after] breaking [them], he gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples [gave them] to the crowds.

And they all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full.
