Matthew 26:26-30 - The Lord's Supper

Matthew 26:26-30

26 While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf and blessed it; then He broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take this and eat it; this is my body." 27 He also took the cup of wine and gave thanks; then He gave it to them, saying, "All of you drink some of it, 28 for this is my blood which ratifies the covenant, the blood which is to be poured out for many for the forgiveness of their sins. 29 I tell you, I will never again drink the product of the vine till the day when I drink the new wine with you in my Father's kingdom." 30 After singing a hymn, they left the city, and went up the Mount of Olives.

Mark 14:22-26

22 While they were eating, He took a loaf and blessed it and broke it in pieces and gave it to them, saying, "Take this; it is my body."

23 He also took the cup of wine and gave thanks and gave it to them, and they all drank some of it. 24 Then He said to them, "This is my blood which ratifies the covenant, the blood which is to be poured out for many. 25 I solemnly say to you, I will never again drink the product of the vine till the day when I drink the new wine in the kingdom of God." 26 After singing a hymn they went out of the city and up the Mount of Olives.

Luke 22:14-23

14 Now when the hour came, He took His place at the table, with the apostles about Him. 15 And He said to them, "I have heartily desired to eat this Passover supper with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you, I shall never again eat one until it finds its full fruition in the kingdom of God." 17 Then He received a cup of wine, gave thanks, and said, "Take this and share it among you, 18 for I tell you, I shall not after today drink the product of the vine until the kingdom of God comes."

19 Then He took a loaf, gave thanks, and broke it in pieces, and gave it to them, and said, "This is my body which is to be given for you. Do this as a memorial to me."

20 In like manner after supper He took a cup of wine, and said, "This cup of wine is the new covenant to be ratified by my blood, which is to be poured out for you. 21 Yet look! The hand of the man who is betraying me is with me on the table! 22 For the Son of Man is going away, as it has been divinely decreed, but a curse will be on that man by whom He is betrayed!"

23 Then they began to discuss among themselves which one it was who was going to do this.
