Matthew 26:26-30 - The Lord's Supper

²⁶ While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf and blessed it; then He broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take this and eat it; this is my body." ²⁷ He also took the cup of wine and gave thanks; then He gave it to them, saying, "All of you drink some of it, ²⁸ for this is my blood which ratifies the covenant, the blood which is to be poured out for many for the forgiveness of their sins. ²⁹ I tell you, I will never again drink the product of the vine till the day when I drink the new wine with you in my Father's kingdom." ³⁰ After singing a hymn, they left the city, and went up the Mount of Olives.

²³ He also took the cup of wine and gave thanks and gave it to them, and they all drank some of it. ²⁴ Then He said to them, "This is my blood which ratifies the covenant, the blood which is to be poured out for many. ²⁵ I solemnly say to you, I will never again drink the product of the vine till the day when I drink the new wine in the kingdom of God." ²⁶ After singing a hymn they went out of the city and up the Mount of Olives.

¹⁴ Now when the hour came, He took His place at the table, with the apostles about Him. ¹⁵ And He said to them, "I have heartily desired to eat this Passover supper with you before I suffer. ¹⁶ For I tell you, I shall never again eat one until it finds its full fruition in the kingdom of God." ¹⁷ Then He received a cup of wine, gave thanks, and said, "Take this and share it among you, ¹⁸ for I tell you, I shall not after today drink the product of the vine until the kingdom of God comes."

¹⁹ Then He took a loaf, gave thanks, and broke it in pieces, and gave it to them, and said, "This is my body which is to be given for you. Do this as a memorial to me."

²⁰ In like manner after supper He took a cup of wine, and said, "This cup of wine is the new covenant to be ratified by my blood, which is to be poured out for you. ²¹ Yet look! The hand of the man who is betraying me is with me on the table! ²² For the Son of Man is going away, as it has been divinely decreed, but a curse will be on that man by whom He is betrayed!"

²³ Then they began to discuss among themselves which one it was who was going to do this.
