John 12:37-43 - The People Still Refuse To Believe
37 But though he had performed so many miracles before them they did not believe in him; 38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet, which he spoke, might be fulfilled; Lord, who has believed our report? and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
39 For this reason they could not believe, because, Isaiah said again,
40 He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their hearts, that they should not see with their eyes and understand with their hearts, and be converted, and I should cure them.
41 Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
42 Nevertheless, many of the rulers believed on him, but on account of the Pharisees did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogues; 43 for they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.
