Mark 3:13-19 - The Selection Of The Twelve Apostles

Mark 3:13-19

13 And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth to him whom he would, and they came to him. 14 And he ordained twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, 15 And to have power to heal diseases and to cast out devils.

16 And Simon he surnamed Peter: And James the son of Zebedee, 17 and John the brother of James (and he surnamed them Boanerges, 18 that is, the sons of thunder) And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, 19 and Simon the Canaanite, And Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

Luke 6:12-16

12 And in those days he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in the prayer of God. 13 And when it was day, he called to him his disciples, and chose twelve of them, whom also he named Apostles:

14 Simon (whom also he named Peter) and Andrew his brother: 15 James and John; Philip and Bartholomew; Matthew and Thomas, 16 James the son of Alpheus, and Simon called Zelotes, Jude the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, who also was the traitor.
