And going on from thence, he saw two other brethren, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in a vessel with Zebedee their father mending their nets; and he called them. And leaving the vessel and their father, they immediately followed him.

And as Jesus passed along from thence, he saw a man named Matthew, sitting at the receit of custom, and saith to him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him. And as Jesus sat at table in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came, and sat down with him and his disciples.

Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; the first, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alpheus, and Lebbeus, whose surname was Thaddeus; Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth to him whom he would, and they came to him. And he ordained twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, And to have power to heal diseases and to cast out devils. read more.
And Simon he surnamed Peter: And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James (and he surnamed them Boanerges, that is, the sons of thunder) And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Canaanite, And Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
