Matthew 24:36-44 - The Unknown Day And Hour

³⁶ But of that day and hour no man knows, nor the angels of heaven; but my Father only. ³⁷ And as the days of Noah, so shall the coming of the Son of man be. ³⁸ For as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, till the day that Noah entered the ark, ³⁹ and knew not till the flood came and took them all away, so shall the coming of the Son of man be. ⁴⁰ Then two shall be in the field; one is taken and the other left. ⁴¹ Two women shall be grinding at the mill; one is taken and the other left. ⁴² Watch, therefore, for you know not on what day your Lord comes, ⁴³ But know this, that if the householder had known in what watch the thief comes, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken into. ⁴⁴ Therefore be you also ready, for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes.

³² But of that day, and hour, knows no man, not an angel in heaven, nor the Son; but the Father. ³³ Observe, watch, for you know not when the time is. ³⁴ As a man leaving his house to go abroad, and giving authority to his servants, and to each one his work, commanded the porter to watch, ³⁵ watch, therefore, for you know not when the master of the house comes; at evening, at midnight, at the cock crowing, or in the morning; ³⁶ lest, coming suddenly, he should find you sleeping. ³⁷ And what I say to you, I say to all, Watch.
