The notice which invests the figure of Enoch with its peculiar significance is found in Ge 5:24 'Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.' The idea here suggested
And Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.
But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, for he will receive me. Selah.
Thou will guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
By faith Enoch was transferred to not see death, and he was not found, because God transferred him. For before his removal he was reported to be pleasing to God.
