Reference: Hook, Hooks
Various kinds of hooks are noticed in the Bible, of which the following are the most important:
1. Fishing hooks.

3. The hooks of the pillars of the tabernacle.

4. A vinedressers pruning-hook.
5. A flesh-hook for getting up the joints of meat out of the boiling-pot.
6. Probably "hooks" used for the purpose of hanging up animals to flay them.
"You shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, their hooks also being of gold, on four sockets of silver.
"You shall make five pillars of acacia for the screen and overlay them with gold, their hooks also being of gold; and you shall cast five sockets of bronze for them.
"You shall make its pails for removing its ashes, and its shovels and its basins and its forks and its firepans; you shall make all its utensils of bronze.
and its pillars shall be twenty, with their twenty sockets of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their bands shall be of silver.
Therefore the LORD brought the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria against them, and they captured Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze chains and took him to Babylon.

And He will judge between many peoples And render decisions for mighty, distant nations Then they will hammer their swords into plowshares And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they train for war.
