They search out iniquities; We have accomplished,'say they , a diligent search: And the inward thought and the heart of every one is deep.

In whose heart is perverseness, Who deviseth evil continually, Who soweth discord.

Deceit is in the heart of them that devise evil; But to the counsellors of peace is joy.

A worthless man deviseth mischief; And in his lips there is as a scorching fire. A perverse man scattereth abroad strife; And a whisperer separateth chief friends. A man of violence enticeth his neighbor, And leadeth him in a way that is not good.read more.
He that shutteth his eyes, it is to devise perverse things: He that compresseth his lips bringeth evil to pass.

They also that seek after my life lay snares for me ; And they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, And meditate deceits all the day long.

For they intended evil against thee; They conceived a device which they are not able to perform.

For they have consulted together with one consent; Against thee do they make a covenant:

Though I have taught and strengthened their arms, yet do they devise mischief against me.

There is one gone forth out of thee, that deviseth evil against Jehovah, that counselleth wickedness.

Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might ensnare him in his talk.

But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why make ye trial of me, ye hypocrites?

Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why make ye trial of me? bring me a denarius, that I may see it.

and as they were eating, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

And the Pharisees went out, and straightway with the Herodians took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.

And they were not able to take hold of the saying before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.

And this they said, trying him, that they might have whereof to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.

Judas then, having received the band of soldiers , and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon him, went forth, and saith unto them, Whom seek ye?

Ephraim was a watchman with my God: as for the prophet, a fowler's snare is in all his ways, and enmity in the house of his God.

Jehovah hath made himself known, he hath executed judgment: The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah
