Morish
The Lord Jesus was emphatically 'the prophet of God,' whose coming was foretold in De 18:15,18. When on earth He said that the works which He did, and the words that He spoke, were not from Himself, but were what He had seen and heard of His Father. Joh 14:10,24. He was the perfect exponent of God's mind to the Jews (Ac 3:22; 7:37), and the proclaimer of God's grace to a guilty world. Lu 14:15-24; 2Co 5:19.

The LORD thy God will stir up a Prophet among you: even of thy brethren, like unto me, and unto him ye shall hearken
I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren like unto thee and will put my words into his mouth and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
When one of them that sat at meat also heard that, he said unto him, "Happy is he that eateth bread in the kingdom of God." Then said he to him, "A certain man ordained a great supper, and bade many; read more. and sent his servant at supper time, to say to them that were bidden, come: for all things are now ready. Then was the good man of the house displeased, and said to his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and quarters of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.' And the servant said, 'Lord it is done as thou commandedst, and yet there is room.' And the Lord said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, that none of those men which were bidden, shall taste of my supper.'"
Believest thou not that I am in the father, and the father in me? The words that I speak unto you, I speak not of myself: but the father that dwelleth in me is he that doeth the works.
He that loveth me not, keepeth not my sayings. And the words which ye hear are not mine, but the father's, which sent me.
For Moses said unto the fathers, 'A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you, even of your brethren, like unto me: him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
This is that Moses which said unto the children of Israel, 'A prophet shall the Lord God raise up unto you, of your brethren, like unto me: him shall ye hear.'
