And they made ready their present against Joseph came at noon, for they heard say that they should dine there.

The first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus saying unto him, "Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the paschal lamb?" And he said, "Go into the city, unto such a man, and say to him, The master saith, my time is almost at hand: I will keep mine Easter at thy house with my disciples." And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them, and made ready the Easter lamb.

And the first day of sweet bread, when men offer the paschal lamb, his disciples said unto him, "Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the Easter lamb?" And he sent forth two of his disciples, and said unto them, "Go ye into the city, and there shall a man meet you bearing a pitcher of water. Follow him. And whithersoever he goeth in, say ye to the good man of the house, 'The master asketh where is the guest chamber, where I shall eat the Easter lamb with my disciples?'read more.
And he will show you a great parlour, paved and prepared: there make ready for us." And his disciples went forth, and came in to the city, and found as he had said unto them, and made ready the Easter lamb.

And he sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare us the Easter lamb, that we may eat." They said to him, "Where wilt thou, that we prepare?" And he said unto them, "Behold, when ye be entered into the city, there shall a man meet you bearing a pitcher of water, him follow into the same house that he entereth in,read more.
and ye shall say unto the good man of the house, 'The master sayeth unto thee, Where is the guest chamber where I shall eat mine Easter lamb with my disciples?' And he shall show you a great parlour paved. There make ready." And they went and found, as he had said unto them: and made ready the Easter lamb.

And now when night was come, because it was the even that goeth before the Sabbath,

And that day was the Sabbath even; And the Sabbath drew on.

The Jews then, because it was the Sabbath even that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the Sabbath day - For that Sabbath day was a high day - besought Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken down.

There laid they Jesus because of the Jews' Sabbath even, for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.

It was the Sabbath even which falleth in the Easter feast, and about the sixth hour. And he said unto the Jews, "Behold your King."

The next day that followeth the day of preparing, the high priests and Pharisees got themselves to Pilate,

But God said unto him, 'Thou fool, this night will they fetch away thy soul again from thee. Then whose shall those things be which thou hast provided?'

And would not rather say to him, 'Dress wherewith I may sup, and gird up thyself and serve me, till I have eaten and drunk: and afterward, eat thou, and drink thou?'

"Go through the midst of the host, and command the people, saying, 'Prepare you victuals: for after three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go and enjoy the land which the LORD your God giveth you, to possess it.'"

Again he sent forth other servants, saying, 'Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner, mine oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready; come unto the marriage.'

Then waxed he a hungered, and would have eaten. But while they made ready for him, he fell into a trance,

Then said he to his servants, 'The wedding was prepared: but they which were bidden thereto, were not worthy.

and sent his servant at supper time, to say to them that were bidden, come: for all things are now ready.

yet in the summer she provideth her meat, and gathereth her food together in the harvest.
