And Uzziah the king continued a leper unto the day of his death and dwelt in a house at liberty: howbeit, he was cast out of the house of the LORD. And Jotham his son had the governance of the king's house and judged the people of the land.
And when Uzziah was laid to rest with his fathers, they buried him with his fathers in the field of burial of the kings. For they said, "He is a leper." And Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
Jotham was twenty five years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok.
And Jotham became mighty, because he directed his way before the LORD his God.
The rest of the acts of Jotham and all his wars and his ways are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
And when Jotham was laid to rest with his fathers, they buried him in the city of David: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
