He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon; for he was about to deliver him up, being one of the twelve.

Then said one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, who was about to deliver him up:

And supper being over, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to deliver him up,

Jesus answered: It is he to whom I shall give this morsel after I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.

For some thought, because Judas had the purse, that Jesus had said to him: Buy what we need for the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.

Judas, not Iscariot, said to him: Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself to us, and not to the world?

And Judas, who delivered him up, also knew the place, because Jesus often went thither with his disciples.

Judas, then, having received the band of soldiers and attendants from the chief priests and Pharisees, came thither with torches and lamps and weapons.

They answered him: Jesus the Nazarene. Jesus said to them: I am he. Judas, also, who delivered him up, was standing among them.
