and reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salecah, and throughout all Bashan, unto the borders, of the Geshurites, and the Maacathites and half Gilead, unto the borders of Sihon king of Heshbon.

This is the land that remaineth: all the coasts of the Philistines: and all the Geshurites:

and Gilead, and the lands that border upon the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and all mount Hermon and all Bashan unto Salecah;

Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites nor the Maacathites: But the Geshurites and the Maacathites dwelt among the Israelites even unto this day.

And David and his men went and ran upon the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites: which nations were from the beginning the inhabiters of the land, as men go to Shur, and so forth to Egypt.

And he overcame the Geshurites and the Aramites, and took the towns of Jair from them, and Kenath with the towns that belonged to the same, even three score towns. All these were the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.
