And there was delivered to him the book of the prophet Isaiah, and having opened the book,
What sayest thou of thyself? He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah.
So that the word of the prophet Isaiah was fulfilled which he said, Lord, who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
Therefore they could not believe, according to what Isaiah said again.
