And I spoke unto the people in the morning; and at even my wife died. And I did in the morning as I was commanded.

To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and are in nakedness, and buffeted, and wander without a home,


Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as being beside myself) I above measure so; in labours exceedingly abundant, in stripes to excess, in prisons exceedingly abundant, in deaths oft.

All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely against thy covenant: Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy path; Though thou hast crushed us in the place of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? tribulation or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? According as it is written, For thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we have been reckoned as sheep for slaughter. But in all these things we more than conquer through him that has loved us.
