The perfection of the upright shall guide them in the way, but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them because they refuse to do judgment.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. So that, sustenance and covering, let us be content with this. For those that desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.


Your gold and silver is corrupted with rust; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you and shall completely eat your flesh, as fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.




So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain which takes away the life of those who possess it.

Woe to him that covets ill-gotten gain by violence for his house that he may set his nest on high, that he may escape from the power of evil! Thou hast taken shameful counsel for thy house by cutting off many peoples and hast committed a sin against thy life.









For those that desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil, which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.












For speaking arrogant words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from those who converse in error,






and I find more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands are bonds; whosoever pleases God shall escape from her, but the sinner shall be held prisoner in her.

Do not meddle with an angry man, and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways and get a snare to thy soul.


The LORD is known by the judgment which he has executed; the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion (meditate on this for ever). Selah.

The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips, but the just shall come out of the tribulation.
