But the people yet are sacrificing in the height, only to Jehovah their God. And Jehovah will speak by the hand of his servants the prophets, saying, Because Manasseh king of Judah did these abominations, doing evil above all which the Amorites did that were before him, and he will also cause Judah to sin with his blocks: For this, thus said Jehovah the God of Israel, Behold me bringing evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, which all hearing it, his two ears shall tingle. And I stretched over Jerusalem the cord of Shomeron, and the weight of the house of Ahab: and I wiped off Jerusalem as one will wipe dishes, wiping, and turning upon its face. And I thrust out the remainder of my inheritance, and I gave them into the hand of their enemies; and they were for plunder and for a prey to all their enemies. Because they did evil in mine eyes, and they will be irritating me from the day which their fathers came forth out of Egypt, and even to this day. And also Manasseh poured out innocent blood exceeding much, till he filled Jerusalem mouth to mouth; besides his sins which he caused Judah to sin to do evil in the eyes of Jehovah.
