"Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.

You shall put the testimony which I shall give you into the ark.

You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I will give you.

He took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.

I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are as Yahweh commanded me.

There was nothing in the ark except the two tables of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, when Yahweh made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

There was nothing in the ark except the two tables which Moses put [there] at Horeb, when Yahweh made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

There I have set a place for the ark, in which is the covenant of Yahweh, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt."

We traveled from Horeb, and went through all that great and terrible wilderness which you saw, by the way to the hill country of the Amorites, as Yahweh our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh Barnea.

There was nothing in the ark except the two tables of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, when Yahweh made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped a molten image.

"Yahweh our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying, You have lived long enough in this mountain:

He arose, and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb the Mount of God.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to God's mountain, to Horeb.

Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb. You shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink." Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

The children of Israel stripped themselves of their jewelry from Mount Horeb onward.

It is eleven days' [journey] from Horeb by the way of Mount Seir to Kadesh Barnea.

the day that you stood before Yahweh your God in Horeb, when Yahweh said to me, "Assemble me the people, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children."

Take therefore good heed to yourselves; for you saw no kind of form on the day that Yahweh spoke to you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire.

Yahweh our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.

Also in Horeb you provoked Yahweh to wrath, and Yahweh was angry with you to destroy you.

These are the words of the covenant which Yahweh commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.

"Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances.

He prepared an oracle in the midst of the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.

The priests brought in the ark of the covenant of Yahweh to its place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers' [houses] of the children of Israel, to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh out of the city of David, which is Zion. And all the men of Israel assembled themselves to the king at the feast, which was [in] the seventh month. All the elders of Israel came: and the Levites took up the ark; read more.
and they brought up the ark, and the Tent of Meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the Tent; these did the priests the Levites bring up. King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled to him, were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and cattle, that could not be counted nor numbered for multitude. The priests brought in the ark of the covenant of Yahweh to its place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim. For the cherubim spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and its poles above. The poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen outside: and there it is to this day. There was nothing in the ark except the two tables which Moses put [there] at Horeb, when Yahweh made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
