Then said unto him, one of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, "There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two fishes: but what is that among so many?"

The same came to Philip, which was of Bethsaida a city in Galilee, and desired him saying, "Sir, we would fain see Jesus." Philip came and told Andrew. And again Andrew and Philip told Jesus.


One of the two, which heard John speak, and followed Jesus, was Andrew; Simon Peter's brother.

The next day after, John stood again, and two of his disciples,


And he said unto them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." And they straightaway left their nets, and followed him.


As Jesus walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brethren, Simon which was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.


He said unto them, "Come and see." They came and saw where he dwelt: and abode with him that day. For it was about the tenth hour.


And brought him to Jesus. And Jesus beheld him and said, "Thou art Simon the son of Jonas, thou shalt be called Cephas," which is by interpretation, a stone.

And Philip found Nathaniel, and said unto him, "We have found him of whom Moses, in the law and the prophets, did write: Jesus, the son of Joseph of Nazareth."
