As Jesus walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brethren, Simon which was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

And forthwith, as soon as they were come out of the Synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew with James and John.

And as he sat on mount Olivet over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him secretly,

One of the two, which heard John speak, and followed Jesus, was Andrew; Simon Peter's brother.

Then said unto him, one of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother,

Philip came and told Andrew. And again Andrew and Philip told Jesus.

And when they were come in, they went up into a parlour, where abode both Peter and James, John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus, and Simon Zealotes, and Judas James' son.

The names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon which is called also Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alpheus, and Lebbeus, otherwise called Thaddeus; Simon of Canaan, and Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him.

And he went up into a mountain, and called unto him whom he would, and they came unto him. And he ordained the twelve that they should be with him, and that he might send them to preach. And that they might have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out devils. read more.

And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon of Canaan, and Judas Iscariot, which same also betrayed him.

And as soon as it was day, he called his disciples, and of them he chose twelve, which also he called his apostles. Simon, whom also he named Peter: and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew; Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon called Zealotes, read more.

In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came unto them, walking on the sea:

Nevertheless, lest we should offend them, go to the sea and cast in thine angle, and take the fish that first cometh up: and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of twenty pence: that take, and pay for me and thee."

And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with waves, and he was asleep.

The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the seaside.

For he was utterly astonished, and all that were with him at the draught of fish which they took: and so was also James and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, "Fear not, from henceforth thou shalt catch men." And they brought the ships to land, and forsook all, and followed him.

Yea, as the drying place, where the fishers hang up their nets by the seaside. Even I have spoken it, sayeth the LORD God. The Gentiles shall spoil her:

Then said the disciple whom Jesus loved unto Peter, "It is the Lord." When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girded his mantle to him, for he was naked, and sprang into the sea. The other disciples came by ship: For they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits; And they drew the net with fishes. read more.
As soon as they were come to land, they saw hot coals laid and fish laid thereon, and bread. Jesus said unto them, "Bring of the fishes which ye have now caught." Simon Peter stepped forth and drew the net to land full of great fishes, a hundred and fifty three. And for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

After these things, went Jesus his way over the sea of Galilee nigh to a city called Tiberias.
