Thematic Bible

One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to Him, "There is a boy here with five barley loaves and a couple of fish: but what is that among so many?"

They came to Philip, of Bethsaida in Galilee, with the request, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus." Philip came and told Andrew: Andrew and Philip told Jesus.

Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard John's exclamation and followed Jesus.

Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples,

And He said to them, "Come and follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." So they immediately left their nets and followed Him. As He went further on,

And walking along the shore of the Lake of Galilee He saw two brothers--Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew--throwing a drag-net into the Lake; for they were fishers.

"Come and you shall see," He said. So they went and saw where He was staying, and they remained and spent that day with Him. It was then about ten o'clock in the morning.

He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon, son of John: you shall be called Cephas" --that is to say, Peter (or 'Rock')

They came to Philip, of Bethsaida in Galilee, with the request, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus." Philip came and told Andrew: Andrew and Philip told Jesus.

Then Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, "We have found him about whom Moses in the Law wrote, as well as the Prophets--Jesus, the son of Joseph, a man of Nazareth."
