and, leading them forward unto the magistrates, said - These men, are exceedingly troubling our city, they, being Jews, And are declaring customs, which it is not allowable for us either to accept or to observe, being Romans.

But the Jews, being, jealous, and taking unto themselves certain wicked men, of the rabble, and making a riot, were setting the city in an uproar; and, besieging the house of Jason, were seeking to lead them forth unto the populace, - and, not finding them, they began dragging Jason and certain brethren unto the city-rulers, shouting - They who have thrown the inhabited earth into confusion, the same, hither also, are come, - unto whom Jason hath given welcome; and, these all, contrary to the decrees of Caesar, are acting, - saying that there is another king, Jesus.

And, when he presented himself, the Jews who, from Jerusalem, had come down, stood round about him, many and grievous charges, bringing against him , which they were not able to prove, - Paul saying in defence - Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar, have I in anything sinned.
