Aaron must burn sweet incense on this altar every morning when he takes care of the lamps. When Aaron lights the lamps at dusk he must burn incense. An incense offering must burn (smoke) constantly in Jehovah's presence for generations to come. Do not burn any unauthorized incense on this altar or any burnt offerings or grain offerings. He removed the copper alter that was before Jehovah from the front of the Temple between his altar and the Temple of Jehovah. He put it on the north side of his altar. King Ahaz took off the sides of the wheeled bases, and took down the great water-vessel from off the copper bulls which were under it and put it on a floor of stone.

Then they went to King Hezekiah. They said: We have made Jehovah's entire temple clean. These are the measurements of the altar, using royal measurements. The royal measuring stick was twenty-one inches long. The base of the altar was twenty-one inches high and twenty-one inches wide. All around the edge of the altar was a rim measuring nine inches wide. This was the height of the altar: From the base on the ground to the lower ledge it was three and one half feet high, and from the lower ledge to the upper ledge it was seven feet high and twenty-one inches wide. On the second day bring a male goat that has no defects as an offering for sin. Remove sin from the altar as you did with the young bull.' When you finish removing sin offer a young bull and a ram that have no defects. Offer them to Jehovah. The priests must throw salt on them and offer them as burnt offerings to Jehovah. Every day for seven days you must sacrifice a goat, a young bull, and a ram from the flock as an offering for sin. They must be animals that have no defects. The priest Eleazar took the copper incense burners that had been brought by those who had been burned to death. The incense burners were then hammered into thin metal sheets to cover the altar. He followed Jehovah's command given through Moses. The copper-covered altar will remind Israel that no one but a descendant of Aaron may come near to burn incense to Jehovah. Everyone else will die like Korah and his followers.

He made an altar out of acacia wood for burning incense. It was eighteen inches square and thirty-six inches high. The horns and altar were made out of one piece of wood. All of it was covered with pure gold, the top, the sides, and the horns. He put a gold molding around it. He made two gold rings and put them below the molding on opposite sides to hold the poles for carrying it. read more.
Then the poles were made out of acacia wood and covered with gold.

To Kohath belonged the families descended from Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. These were the families descended from Kohath. The number of all the males at least one month old was eight thousand six hundred. They were in charge of the holy place. The leader of the Kohathite families and households was Elizaphan, son of Uzziel. They were in charge of the Ark, the table, the lamp stand, the altars, the utensils used in the holy place, and the screen. They took care of all these things.

Build a well-constructed altar to Jehovah your God on top of this mound. Take the second bull and burn it as a whole offering. Cut down the symbol of Asherah and use it for firewood. So Gideon took ten of his servants and did what Jehovah instructed him to do. He was afraid of his family and the people in town, so he did it at night.

When the seventh month came, and the children of Israel were in the towns, the people came together like one man to Jerusalem. These are the trays, forks, shovels, and bowls-all the altar's accessories. They will spread a covering of fine leather (sealskin) over all this. Then they will put the poles in place. When Aaron and his sons finished covering the holy things and the camp is ready to move, the Kohathites will come to carry all the holy articles.
