Then Noah began farming and planted a vineyard.
"Judah and all its cities will dwell together in it, the farmer and they who go about with flocks.
And with you I shatter the shepherd and his flock, And with you I shatter the farmer and his team, And with you I shatter governors and prefects.
Therefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, the Lord, "There is wailing in all the plazas, And in all the streets they say, 'Alas! Alas!' They also call the farmer to mourning And professional mourners to lamentation.
but he will say, 'I am not a prophet; I am a tiller of the ground, for a man sold me as a slave in my youth.'
"Listen to another parable. There was a landowner who PLANTED A VINEYARD AND PUT A WALL AROUND IT AND DUG A WINE PRESS IN IT, AND BUILT A TOWER, and rented it out to vine-growers and went on a journey.
"At the harvest time he sent a slave to the vine-growers, in order to receive some of the produce of the vineyard from the vine-growers.
"He will come and destroy these vine-growers and will give the vineyard to others " When they heard it, they said, "May it never be!"
The hard-working farmer ought to be the first to receive his share of the crops.
Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains.
